RE: Sizing - is compared to most-popular Nike sizing. These have a toe-box profile across the front which steady tapers from the big toe area and, if middle toes are longest they may contact - at first. Full Size smaller (9 vs 10) made slight contact but overall were very very good. These are a 'barefoot' style of shoe for aggressive approach / trail walking. A day at the Gym and these feel totally fine. Stiff lasts, and a solid tread - great gym shoe if there's the need for minimal bulk and stack-height. Overall sizing is perfect after just a couple hours of steady use.

I’m a big fan of Merrell. Unfortunately these shoes are not a good trail shoe. I fact they are very poor. Uncomfortable to say the least. Very uncomfortable on the trail, slightly more comfortable on paved trails, only slightly. No innersole so an extremely hard walking on a trail. I really wanted to like them, I’ve had them for a week, walked every day, 3 miles a day. Today only got a mile and a half and developed a blister on the back of my ankle. As I said in the beginning, I’m a fan of Merrell. But these are not good shoes for a trail walk.
