I came to this website and found this work boot because the other brand I wore discontinued my favorite go to boot. So this is the first time ordering from Zappos and first time trying these KEEN work boots. Both are fantastic! Quick shipping. The boots are the best fitting shoe ever (and I've worn several other big name work boots in the past). There is no break-in. They just fit comfortably the first time. The soles are not rock hard like some of the other brands. Instead, they are compliant to conform to irregularities in the floor or ground. Kneeling while flexing the boot is easy. The soles do say "Oil & Slip Resistant". The laces are thick so they don't cut your dry cracked hands like some other brands. It's easy to slip your foot into and out of the boot, and when laced up it feels like a part of you. The well thought out boot is also well made.

As soon as I put them on, they felt incredibly comfortable on my feet and ankles. I have very finnicky feet and finding a boot that doesn't aggravate my sore spots is so difficult. I didn't need to break them in. The toe box is more open, not necessarily "wide", but it gives your toes more room to be toes, which I need because my toes are literally the Bane of my existence. The soles give me more "bounce" to my step, so I feel like I don't have to put in so much effort in my steps (if that makes sense lol). They are so easy to take on and off...a lot of these boots are a pain in the butt to take off after having to lace them up tighter than a corset. I had my husband and best friend stomp on my feet to test out the safety toe and it was amazing! I didn't feel a thing! XD All in all, this is a very well made pair of boots. I'm looking forward to having these for a long time and getting more in the future. P.S. The fact that they come in black makes my little goth heart so happy. :D

The size was spot on, no discomfort in taking off or putting on the shoe. Slightly raised arch area to provide comfort in the shoe. The support for the arch is phenomenal. Much better than expected. True to both size and width. Overall I wish there was more padding around the foot of the shoe, but it is still a very well made boot. I would recommend this boot to at least try out. It feels already broken in to fit my foot as well. Well made and feels great -JF

These Keens are a typical fit and feel for the Industrial line, but the composite toe are a must for working around metal detectors. They don't tend to breath as well a we'd like to see, but they are more waterproof so that's the trade-off. The piece is a bit steep, but Keen boots tend to last a couple years, so they're a great option. These ones with the reflective tape look super sharp with black or gray pants. They may take a couple weeks to break in, but once they do, you'll love them!

Very comfortable and durable boot. I've been wearing this boot for work for over 1 year now and it's still not showing any signs of wear and tear. I definitely would buy again!
