This model shoe feels more substantial than the Athens line and the gum bottom sole is much less slippery on wet surfaces. I ordered my usual Kizik size and it is slightly tighter but still fits. No matter how loose the laces, the shoe has a smaller aperture and makes the hands free on/off process more challenging. Another reviews mentioned the heel extending out and causing them difficulty. I have not found this problematic at all. On the contrary I think the shoe provides a very stable base and would consider it a great walking shoe. Substantially more arch support than my other Kiziks. The materials appear to be of very high quality in every regard, the aesthetics are very appealing and I have received many compliments.

I really liked the colors. However the back sole sticks out almost an inch more than the shoe box. So when I wore them on the stairs the back got stuck and I almost fell. I have other shoes in this brand and the sole does not hang an inch over.
