Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)
This was purchased for a trip to Europe. We were flying TAP airlines, which has a strict weight limit of 22 lbs for a carry-on bag. Weighing in at just about 1 lb, these bags were ideal for this purpose. The fabric is a slick lightweight nylon, but held up well to three weeks of heavy traveling. The backpack straps were surprisingly comfortable, given that hybrid-style bags are rarely work great as both duffels and backpacks. The bag is on the small side for a carry-on, but if you can get all of your clothes into it, it WILL get you through that airline checkpoint worry-free! The handles were well-placed and we ended up carrying it all different ways, depending on our needs. The handle on the very end of the bag was especially useful for getting the bag in and out of plane overhead bins. With airlines getting increasingly more strict about size and weight of luggage, I'm sure this bag will get many years of use.
