I don't know where they get the minus 40 degrees claim. I wore my new boots yesterday in 25 degrees *above* (Fahrenheit) with medium weight wool socks, and within 45 minutes my toes were starting to get cold.
Overall the boots feel reasonably comfortable, but where's the insulation? I was expecting *warm* boots, but feel deceived. What's going to happen when the temperature really gets cold? For this reason, I can't recommend these.

Comfort is not bad, but there is no way these are warm to -40. Wore them ice fishing in mid 20s and my feet froze. Very disappointed.

Comfortable, but there is no way these are warm to -40. Wore them ice fishing first time out in mid 20s and my feet were cold all day after only an hour. Very disappointed. I wanted something warm and waterproof and they aren't the least bit warm.
