Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)I returned these, but I feel several reviews were correct - these appear well made, were comfortable and well insulated. My problem was putting them on and lacing them up. The bottom three eyelets are cloth and present resistance to pulling the laces tight, the continuous loop system made it difficult to get enough oomph to pull the laces taut and the left-over laces after you are laced up lay out in front. Traditional laces would improve this product. as would be metal speed-lace eyelets top-to-bottom with none of the loop-lace folderol. Additionally, the heavy insulation on the tongue made lacing troublesome as well. They never felt well adapted and tight to my feet. But they felt warm and soft inside, so maybe someone not needing a tight fit would be okay with them. I was not.

I agree with everything Keith (November 2019) said in his review. It is nearly impossible to tighten the laces on these boots. As a result, my heels slip, especially when hiking or snowshoeing uphill. They are very warm and comfortable just walking around, but I would not recommend them if you plan to hike or snowshoe in them. These (size 13) boots are also so large that my XL gaiters (which fit fine around my old Sorels) do not fit around them, and they just barely fit in my snowshoe bindings.

These boots.... the day I put them on I couldn't believe how comfortable the felt on my feet. It was more like having a pillow wrapped around my foot than a boot. I trudged through about 14" of snow in my fields, they were warm and dry. I could easily drive in them, walk in them.. wear them all day long without the slightest discomfort. I haven't tried packing into the woods with a load on my back yet, (I just got them two days ago). But before the month is out I'm sure I will... Fantastic boots...

Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)Tried four different models of the Baffin boots. These, the Tundras, summit and control max. These and the control max seemed identical in style and fit but I chose the snow monster over the open lace system of the control max. The tundras were light and comfortable but the opening at the top of the boot was not close able and too wide for my legs. These were sealable by drawstring Finally the summit boot were super light and comfortable and would be great fit around town but not for idle feet ice fishing or atving. They did not seem warm enough for those situations

Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)I’m a 9.5 boot and shoe. Ordered a 10 thinking these were true to size and wanting room for thick socks. The 10 was pretty snug without heavy socks. The 11 is a bit too roomy. Going to keep the larger size because it’s easier to add socks that it is to squeeze into a smaller boot. Wish these came in half sizes.
