In the rainy Pacific Northwest, it's nice to put on a pair of shoes that fit really well and is going to work for anything I do. Which is: running errands, walking trails in parks, walking trails in more remote landscapes, weightlifting at gym. I have a long, narrow foot and very high arches and need a wide toe box. This shoe provides room for my toes to spread, but feels secure at the arch and also at the heel in a way that no other shoes have, and I have tried most of the brands out there. Because I have such hard to fit feet but am quite active, I have worn them through rainy season and far beyond because they are comfortable. I wish they came in other colors! These shoes make my feet that have: high arches, Morton's neuroma, plantar fasciitis, neuropathy, arthritis in one foot almost normal.

(What's this?)These are the perfect trail shoe. They were my go-to for the last thirty of Miwok and are a joy to put on every time I get time I get out to the trails. The fit is excellent -roomy toe box but not sloppy. Traction is great. Just enough cushion. I pray the latest model is just as good.

(What's this?)The way the tongue attaches to the inside of the shoe creates a little ridge/lump that was uncomfortable for my son, so had to return what was otherwise a good looking shoe!

This is a follow up to a previous review of same shoe - Topo Ultrafly 6. I have been going through a shoe saga due to unique physical needs of the feet and body. I want to thank Zappos for the continued great shoe selection options; still great customer service; and understanding that the retail shoe business is unique just as feet are. Shoe manufacturing continues to change with each year and shoe model. I appreciate the Zappos standard of understanding this. I like several aspects of the Topo Ultrafly 6 especially for overpronation/stability, style of shoe, breathability and heel to toe stack height being kept on the lower/moderate end. And after trying on several other competitors... I am going to give the Topo Ultrafly a chance in its current model despite some reservations still. I am a long time Topo customer; as I am of Zappos.

(What's this?)Great, comfortable fit. Nice support. Light-weight. I wish Topo would make business casual shoes too. #sweepstakes

(What's this?)Love these shoes! I'm new to Topo and have nothing bad to say about the styles I've tried so far, including this one. The traction in the soles is great, cushioning is super comfortable but not like a marshmallow, the arch support is good without being overkill, and the wide toe box/narrow heel combo is perfect for my picky feet. The 5mm drop is ideal - I can no longer do zero drop shoes and this is just enough height.

(What's this?)This is a very comfy boot. It’s probably quite waterproof, but that the Achilles heel, it’s also hot!! That’s the only reason for returning.

I tested these shoes for their waterproof quality and found my feet stayed dry. I was doubtful any shoe could hold back moisture by the weave of the fabric. The first hike was after it rained and the second hike was in the rain. Both times my feet were dry. I Thank you and my feet Thank you.

(What's this?)These are nice shoes, I am impressed with Topo! Unfortunately, I need a more rigid sole.

Fits well. Incredibly light and cushiony. The arch support is too pronounced for a neutral shoe, but this has not been a deal breaker for me.

Used these for two half marathons this spring. Haven't even got 6 months out of them and they are falling apart. They were very light when I received them and I was concerned with the quality and whether they would hold up and they have not. For the cost would have expected a lot better. Do not buy for running 20ish miles a week.

(What's this?)I ordered two pair and I am keeping one. I love the space on the toe box and my feet feel happy. I really like hokas better than this brand but unfortunately hokas runs narrow in the toe box.

(What's this?)I love the fit, but they are not waterproof at all. It is very disappointing to be on a trail when it rains and have your feet soaked before your hike is finished. I have several pairs of Topos, some rated waterproof, some that are not. There is no point in buying a shoe that claims to be waterproof. If you don't care about waterproof shoes, I would recommend these shoes.

(What's this?)This is the second pair purchased. I use to wear Altruas but they wore out quickly. These shoes are durable and fit perfectly. I need a wide toe box and a zero box. These shoes check all the boxes.

(What's this?)I wanted to like the shoes but they didn’t fit me the way other wide shoes fit. It also didn’t allow for my orthotics and the inserts in the shoe had no cushion. It was thin and flat.
Chthonian from Albuquerque on May 12, 2026
Max cushion, great grip on the road or trail. That Topo wide toe box that gives plenty of room. The arch support is in the higher side, but it’s what I need. Mine tend to wear at the heel and tread, so I wish they’d last a bit longer for the price point.

(What's this?)Uppers were literally just super thin fabric, soles were too narrow for the EE upper...story of my shoe journey. Shoe was too short once i got my aftermarket insole in it. Had to return. Dunham Midland Oxfords and running shoes have been the rare shoes where I felt that the sole was supporting my foot. Was looking for something a bit more stylish...no luck
