Forsake

Forsake Logo
Forsake™ is for those seeking more freedom and fewer ceilings. They design all-weather footwear for travel and adventure. Their goal is to bring a higher level of versatility to your feet with outdoor footwear that can last season after season.

Forsake footwear blends outdoor technology, rugged construction, and versatile styling. Their hiking boots and trail footwear are built for the mountains and fit for every journey.

The story begins in 2009 when two friends left the east coast for snowier pastures in Big Sky, MT and Alta, UT. Jobs were secured, apartments were rented, and skiing powder became a daily pursuit.

Life in the Rockies, however, doesn't come without compromise. For starters, it puts a real strain on everyday footwear. Materials tear, feet slip, and water leaks everywhere.

They needed a more rugged and reliable pair of sneakers. So, in 2012, they set about making them. They called it Forsake: for Sam and Jake.

Like the other reviewer noted, to my foot this shoe does feel a half size larger.

These are my first pair of walking boots and I am absolutely thrilled with the Forsake Patch. They are lightweight, yet sturdy, as well as waterproof. I have a difficult time finding shoes that are comfortable, but after a four-mile hike in the Blue Ridge mountains my feet felt great! The smart wool socks worked well with them. I highly recommend these boots!

I have medium width flat feet. I'm usually a 9 across the boards in all shoes. This arrived and I thought it was a little too wide, but then I realized it seems like it may be a tad too long, too. The shoe was so comfortable, though!!! I am exchanging for a 8.5 and hopefully that will solve it as I love them! There is some arch support. I can't decide between the colors, though. They are all great looking!!

Poorly made shoes. I bought mine on November 29, 2019 and by March 24, 2020 the shoe is falling apart. And I did not wear them everyday at all. I noticed that the stitching was sloppy when I first received them and I am sorry I did not just return them. I like them a lot otherwise.

Very cute and worked perfect for urban hiking in Seattle area. I only wish the padding surrounding the ankle was more plush. I wore these with wigwam socks and they were very comfortable and supportive for all day hiking.

Wanted to keep these because they are very cute, especially for hiking boots, but the tongue material is too think and cut into my foot. Also, material around the ankle rubbed too much. Overall, I could tell my feet would be sore in spots after prolonged wear. Had to return.

I absolutely love these shoes. The soles add to my stability (ankle arthritis) which is vital for my balance. Love the look. I’ve received multiple compliments including one from my ortho MD. Can’t wait for more styles to be released including something for warmer weather. I’m a dedicated customer with three versions of purchases.

I had high hopes for these, as I've been looking for a bootie that's not quite athletic but that has a substantial grippy sole. As other reviewers mentioned, they are HUGE. I bought my usual size 8.5 and it is super long and very wide. They make my feet look silly. I'm tempted to order a size 8, but even in a shorter length I suspect they'd still be too wide. I don't think I would be able to cinch the laces down enough to keep them from flopping around. These have the clunky factor without the cute factor. And they don't feel like they'd be super comfy. Back they go. :-(

Shoes fit really well. I work on concrete and have found them very comfortable for all day wear. Give them a shot, you won’t regret it!

I like the shoe although I had to use my $59 Sole inserts to get the support I need. They are getting more comfortable the more I wear them. I’ve had compliments.

These shoes feel a 1/2 size long and are very snug across the ball of the foot. "Waterproof-grade" leather does not mean a waterproof shoe. Great looking sneaker, but the price is a bit high and it just doesn't fit my foot well.

The fit of the shoe is great. I was initially concerned about what others had said about the toe area being to narrow/low but I did not experience that issue. I have very low arches so I usually need a lot of arch support and use my own insoles. So far I love the feel and look of the shoe!

I usually wear 11 1/2 however these seemed to run a half size to big. Thanks to Zappos’ quick and easy return process I was able to send back and order size 11. The size 11 fits perfect.

These boots didn't require much break in time, they were comfortable from the first time I wore them. I did feel some tightness in the ankle area but they stretched out over a couple of days. I haven't gone on a hike with these yet but from wearing them to work and walking around in rain and snow, they are sturdy, comfortable and waterproof.

Glad I took a chance on these. At first, I wasn’t so sure because the metal for the top lace hooks dig into my leg. But after getting some thick socks on and walking around, it broke in. They are really cute and really comfy but I deducted points because I wore them in the rain and they started to look a little ashy. Not sure how long these will hold up.

I love these boots!!! They are comfortable and stylish. I get lots of compliments when I wear them. They have non skid surface which helps in the winter time but will also help if hiking when rainy or wet. I have wide feet and I have the perfect amount of room in the toe box. They are fit true to size. My previous hiking shoes were not ankle boots so having the ankle support in these is a dream, they are so comfortable around my ankles. They easily transition into casual wear from hiking which is a positive for versatility. I look forward to putting a lot if miles on these boots!!

These run slightly large, like a quarter size. When you're in-between sizes, I'd size down. They actually felt slightly larger than the full lace versions. They're a little heavy but look great, especially with the pull tab.

I first saw these shoes while browsing a social media app. I decided to search for them on Zappos because of their easy return policy. There were only 2 reviews and one was quite negative. I was a bit deterred and hesitated to buy them, but then I figured I could just return them if they were really that bad. I got them today and and have been wearing them inside the office for a few hours. Like the one negative review said, they are bit narrow and there is an inner seam that can be felt at the widest part of the foot. The arch support is good. Having worn them for half a day they feel better and most leather shoes stretch out a bit with normal wear. I mainly wanted these shoes for the style, design and price. I like that they have a durable inner lining and a moderate tread on the sole. Now that these shoes have loosened up a bit on my feet I feel confident that I made a good buy.

The soles felt like I was walking on plywood. Maybe if I put inserts in them, I could get some cushioning, but at this price I don't want to pay $40 for inserts.

Style over function. They look good, very "handsome". I'm a professional landscaper and thought they would be good for work but they're not. Even if they get broken in they'll be too stiff to do things like ladder work or get into tight spaces. I have slightly narrow to medium wide feet but have a small bunion, these put pressure on the bunion. The ow box was good, roomy and also deep enough so my ingrown toe nail didn't get pressure on it. They absolutely did NOT fit my custom Orthotics.
