I got these boots because they said they were waterproof. The right boot is waterproof, the left boot is not. I do not walk in puddles just grass. I didn't realize that Zappos sold seconds.

(What's this?)Love these. Bought them for walking in the city. I have plantar fasciitis and I bought them 1/2 size bigger and use my own arch inserts. These have a stiffer sole, which I prefer in a shoe. It always helps with my plantar fasciitis. Very comfortable and cute. True to size.

(What's this?)The boots are comfortable and the footbed is roomy for those of us with slightly wider feet. Don't agree with previous reviewer who said they were too small. I thought they were almost too big around the ankle and would require thicker socks than I usually wear. Felt they were too boxy and might cause a stumbling hazard while for me but the main reason I'm returning them is the color. The black wasn't available in my size. Ordered color that is supposed to be "gunmetal" but they actually look like a brownish green and this isn't what I was hoping for.

(What's this?)Incredibly stiff and unforgiving in the front of ankle / tongue area of boot--like there was NO WAY this was ever going to stretch out or become comfortable. Rubbed against ankle and had all the markings of blisters in the making. Sadly I had to return them--even though they sure looked cool.

(What's this?)I spent two days indoors adapting to the shoe, trying different insoles to suit the arch of my feet. (This is customary for me in shoes.) Finally found that insole supplied is the best. There is a bit of stitching on the interior base of the tongue which may rub my instep, but time will tell. I can always wear moleskin if it irritates. Again, issues are my feet, not the shoe which is perfect for wet, cold weather walking. It is solid, but lightweight enough for travel.

They seem to be a little small. I went up 1/2 size and we're good.

Great looking shoes, extremely comfortable but I wouldn’t recommend them for muddy or wet conditions

One shoe ripped after 3 or 4 wears. Always tied and untied them - didn’t cram my foot in. Was just walking around town…

(What's this?)The shoe fits nicely and is very comfortable. I dressed them up with red shoe laces and love to wear them.

(What's this?)Am going to return these boots. One zipper keeps catching on the gusset. Also, there's something off about how they feel and fit. The toe end is fairly light and flexible, but the heel feels like an anchor at the bottom of my leg. It doesn't feel right when I'm walking, and changes my gait. Just not right.RI

I usually wear an 8. If I could wear the Forsake Lucie size 8 barefoot, or with thin socks, they'd be fine, but bought them for cold, snowy, slushy weather, so went up 1/2 size to 8.5, to wear with heavy socks. The fit is good. If in doubt, order up. As far as comfort goes, they're a little stiff, which I suspect will ease with wear. There have been no irritating spots. The laces aren't really functional for adjusting the fit. There's a removable, cushioning insole. The boots are well made. Glad I bought them. I looked up the Forsake company, and liked what I read about them.

I purchased these in September 2021 and I’ve had the chance to hike in these boots a few times now over the months. I absolutely love them. They’ve hiked some wet and slippery uphill hikes in Vermont and most recently Enchanted Rock and they performed beautifully. Great support and have held up well. I also love that they’re not hideous like most hiking boots. They were true to size for me, and I have a wider foot with a high instep.

(What's this?)The leg opening is large. There is a side zipper, so the boot is easy to put on and take off. I ordered 1/2 size up so I can wear heavy socks. The laces will tighten the boot a bit, but not a huge amount. The boot feels a little bit clunky, but it's better than the many other pairs of boots I've tried on recently. I need a boot that I can wear in cold, sloppy conditions, and I think this one will do fine. It's a comfortable fit, I can wear heavy socks in the very cold weather, it's advertised as waterproof, and it has a pretty healthy looking tread. I haven't walked in snow or on ice yet, but that's going to change this weekend, apparently, so I may update my review.

Very poor craftsmanship. The first pair I ordered had a difference of about 1/2 inch in the height of the two boots. The second pair I ordered had a noticeable issue with where the leather met the sole on the toe. I liked the style and fit was pretty good, but due to poor quality both pairs were returned.

(What's this?)Shoe is of good quality, but it's to narrow for a wider foot.. Wish they made these in a W or WW width..

(What's this?)I really wanted to love this. But it left me feeling just ‘meh.’ It was very comfy, no need for breaking in. True to size, I wear a 39. The final straw was I didn’t like that my Achilles’ tendon got wet when when I walked outside in the rain. I love the concept of WP casual rubber sole sneaker-boot. As an example, I love my doc marten Sheridan 8eyes folded down. But they aren’t WP, sadly. I will have to keep looking. Thanks Zappos, love you!

(What's this?)The boots look great. A+ for style. That's about the only good thing about these boots. They are uncomfortably narrow and they have no traction in ice and snow.

The sizing was accurate, but I returned bc there is not enough ankle support and they rub uncomfortably. Super attractive though...wish they didn't rub on my ankles.

(What's this?)Nice shoe. Well-made. I returned because I need more room in the toe box. Even with removing the insole I still felt like my feet were cramped. These definitely won't accommodate wide feet unless they start making them in wide sizes.
Zappos Reviewer on December 23, 2021
I really wanted to love this shoe. It looks just right! However, the size was too large and a smaller size wasn't available. The shoe also felt very flat, with minimal arch support (I have high arches). I believe the shoe is a quality product and well-made, this one's just not for me.
Zappos Reviewer on December 21, 2021
I like this, I just wish they felt more sturdy. I’m worried about how long they will hold up. They seem to scuff easily. They required a little break in around the ankle but other than that have been great and I have gotten lots of compliments.

(What's this?)These are definitely warm, and most definitely waterproof. I love the style. But I will say, not the most comfortable walking/hiking shoes I've worn. I definitely feel them on my feet after an hour wearing them.

(What's this?)Tried on four pairs of snow boots. I was down to an LL Bean pair and these. Both were super comfortable, but these won on style. Wore them for a few hours in my home and nothing rubbed or pinched. Keeping them.
