Boot was advertised as being EE wide and to order a half size smaller than your normal size. I wear an E width, 10 and ordered a 9-1/2 and it was perfect. With the laces running down the toe, it is easy to adjust the width. These are as old school as it gets. The tongue unfolds and opens, this makes the boot very easy to get on and off. I had these boots many years ago. I am 63 years old and these babies will last me a good while. I have worn them for three days straight. The leather needs a bit of breaking in. If a shoe does not feel good the moment I put it on, It will never feel good. These felt great from the start.

I liked these a lot. They are comfortable. I have Morton's neuroma so need a shoe with a wider toe room. Otherwise, I would have kept them.

These felt great but were loose in my size (10.5) even with a beefier hiking sock on. Lots of play in my heel. I returned and got a half size smaller and they fit great, though I had to return them since they were beat up by someone else who got them and returned them after being worn outside.

Excellent quality boot that was comfortable from the first time I put them on. I ordinarily take a 10.5 D but got these in EE width. They fit well and allow me to wear heavier socks. Length has not been a problem. I do find them a bit stiff and after wearing them daily for a couple of months now they are still so. The boot really holds up well and do not show any wear or marks on the outside. The toe box is wide and comfortable with a protective cap, fortunately not steel. The Danner Vibram sole provides excellent traction particularly on ice and has gotten a good workout this winter in western Montana. The durability and quality do result, though, in a somewhat heavier boot. I highly recommend this product.

I love these boots! They are light weight, comfortable to walk in, and pretty cute boots:) I’ve been wearing them to work for about a week now and haven’t had any issues with blisters or sore feet.

These have to be the most aggravating pair of shoes I have every owned and I daily regret buying them. The lacing system for starters is a PIA. The top "eyelet" loops are located way off to the side so it is hard to pull the laces up tight. And, if you try to grasp the next down "loop" of laces, you usually pull the top laces out of their eyelets. I replaced the too-long flat laces with some round boot laces I had so I could grasp them and pull on them to tight the laces. Forget the red laces that came with the shoes. Maybe they're okay if you're into being cutesy and stylish. The tan ones were better but still a pain. Hence, changing the laces out altogether. These are definitely not trail boots/shoes IMHO. They're okay around town and they're comfortable enough if the lacings would just stay tight. The soles have excellent traction, particularly on ice and snow. I have a pair of Danner Trailhead boots and they are outstanding in every way and the reason I bought these. I do not recommend them.

Comfy fit. Maybe half a size too small. The black ones hare more like charcoal. The brown boots are probably a bit more versatile in style. The pictures on the site dont have enough contrast. Gore-tex so it's not super breathable but not a swamp. Not too warm. Nice tread for hiking and non-slippage around town. The lower half of the tounge is very soft on the outside. looks like the weakest part. Overall pretty good and comparable to similar Clarks gore-tex boots.

DON'T BUY THESE BOOTS! I am so hugely disappointed. I have never spent more money on a pair of boots ever--but the cute style and cute style blogger who assured me these were comfy and warm for a trip to Iceland convinced me they would be wonderful. I was advised to wear them around the house to break them in and then take to the great outdoors. I am usually a 9, sometimes 8.5 in boots. A 9 in a sneaker, sometimes an 8.5. I can be an 8 or 8.5 in a shoe. I bought the 8.5--sent back--too big, the slippage hurt my heel. I bought the 8, wore them around the house, bought and used the conditioner several times, got the 1/2 insole from Danner and kept thinking...I hope these break in. When I finally decided to walk 2 miles in them to really break them in I ended up with red, raw, bleeding blisters on the back of my ankles! I can't return them now since I wore them outside. Maybe the 7.5 would have been better, but I've never been a 7.5 and the boots 8 didn't feel big. $360 down the drain....I will never buy anything Danner again and neither should you. I'm probably going to have to spend more $$ for a soft comfy, supportive pair of Merrells!

I normally wear a 9.5. Many people indicated that these run large and to order a half size lower. I totally disagree. While the 9 fits snug, I would have been fine in a 9.5. So that being said I would say they are true to size. I ordered a 9 and I got a 9. They look fantastic! The support is great. I have had them on all day for 3 days now. (Hoping to break them in and get them to loosen up.) Going hunting this weekend and can't wait to take them out in the woods. They are definitely warm so I can already tell these will not be worn in TX from May - Oct. I'll just have to find another pair of Danners for that half of the year!

I have a wide EE foot and was uncertain when I first put them on. After a day of wearing a med-thick wool sock in prep for a vacation to Banff, Canada I had a blister on my little toe. BUT after switching to a thin REI wool line sock they broke in nicely and we actually much warmer than I ever expected. I bought a cold weather Sorel and used those twice because these Danners were my goto boot in single digit Canada weather. We took gondola to the top of the mountain in Banff and I decided to hike down 2,300' 3.5 miles and they were champs. They kept me warm with the wool liner sock and the tread was excellent down the snow packed switchbacks. I also used them tubing - again in single digit weather. I was worried at first but now I truly love them. There on my feet now in rainy cool Los Angeles. And... there really good looking!

I really love the look of these. I wanted something I could wear casually and for outdoor activities. These fit the bill. I originally ordered a 7.5 (my typical size) but they were too narrow for me. I exchanged for an 8 which are great width wise but I tad long. Nothing major or too noticeable. If you have wide feet though, these may not be best for you.

I also own the Mountain 600 Insulated. Since a number of reviews of the Enduroweave said they run small, I ordered up a half size and they fit perfectly. I compared the two insoles from these two models that are two different sizes, and they are exactly the same. I haven't tried these yet as they are for summer, but I'm new to Danner and love the insulated version, so I'm sure these new ones will work out great.

Great boot for going out in-town to hitting the hiking trail. Very nice for general hiking, good support, comfortable, easy to put on and take off, easy to lace up. I am very happy with these boots, esp. for travel where you need a pair of boots to serve multiple needs. Would absolutely buy again and suggest to a friend.

Comfortable right out the box. Great looking boot. Plenty big toe box. Metal shoelace eyelets are larger than most I've used, which makes lacing the top of boot super easy. Thick, flat laces stayed tied. Made in Vietnam (not in China!). Great service from Zappos - Thanks. Note to Zappos- it would be helpful if you provided the country of origin/manufacture.

I've never owned a pair of Danner's, but after wearing these for a 5-day backpacking trip in Joshua Tree National Park without any time to break them in, I'm sold! These boots were very comfortable and the Vibram bottoms were amazing while scrambling through the Wonderland of Rocks. I've worn other brands in the past, but I'm not wasting my time or money on anything else after these. I can't wait to wear them again.

I am usually an 8.5 or 9 in a boot--the 81/2 was too big so went with the 8--perfect. These boots are FULL ON classic style and cool which is the only reason I would pay so much for them and put in the effort to break them in before I have to wear them hiking/touring Iceland. They really are awesome. Just hoping as others have said that the stiff leather that rubs the back of your heel softens over time and effort!

I love these boots! I got these to hike in, and have ended up using them on ice and wet surfaces and their traction control is just amazing. I love that they are truly waterproof and can easily be hosed off to clean, with minimal drying time. I will say, when I first put them on with thicker socks, they were snug, but they since stretched with wear, so my usual size 6 works. Give them some time to break in for sure.

I have worn these for duty for the past six months, especially during the summer. I have never found them to “squeak” when I wore them. These are a great pair of boots that are comfortable and easy to put on/take off with the side zip. The original scorch boots have a thinner nylon on the sides that wear easily but keep your feet much cooler. These are a little more durable. I like Zappos but I recommend shopping for a better price or see if Zappo’s will price match. The price here is a little high.

I typically wear a 10.5 US and fit is spot-on. Width is good for my somewhat narrow feet. I have narrow ankles/shins and am still able to get a nice tight lace fit all the way up the boot. No break-in pains at all, even before a few coats of mink oil. Build quality is great. Looks great. I love these boots.
