Founded in 2023, in Long Island City, New York, by Amelia Noorani Apoj, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, and her footwear veteran father, Farshad (Rafael) Noorani, Amie Rafa re-introduces decades of industry experience with a fresh perspective on contemporary design.

Our Founders Born from the combination of their names, Amie and Rafa, the brand celebrates the bond between a father and daughter and the strength of family. Farshad (Rafael) brings over 30 years of experience in the footwear industry, while Amelia grew up in the world of shoemaking, spending more than a decade learning the craft at his side.

The idea to launch a new collection emerged organically from years of collaboration and shared passion. It was a natural progression for this father-daughter duo, driven by a desire to offer footwear that blends classic elegance with contemporary flair. Thus, Amie Rafa was born.
