Have these in dark brown and they are incredible. Great styling and very versatile. I wear these with slacks and my brown sports coats or with jeans. Very comfortable and with the legendary AE quality.

This is my second pair of Strand cap-toe oxfords, I now own this style in Walnut and in Black. I really love this shoe. For anyone trying to determine which size to buy: It took me a few tries to figure out my size, I almost always wear a size 10 D dress shoe (with the exception of a few 10 1/2 D's); in Allen Edmonds I'm between a 9 1/2 E and 10 E. I also feel Allen Edmonds dress shoes have a "break-in" period that one has to get through in order to tell whether or not you've gotten your correct size.

This shoe, the Strand Cordovan in Burgundy, is absolutely perfect for the occasion and outfit I have in mind. It is beautiful, comfortable, and exceptionally well made.

Beautiful, timeless shoes that will last for years!

Compared to other same sized AE shoes that I purchased over the past few months, this one is too narrow to use.

Absolutely love em. Super comfortable and great quality

Husband and son’s favorite shoes. He wears them to work everyday. They last about 18 months walking on pavement etc 5 days a week. Are resolvable but tops. I believe, ready to go after that much wear. Sons wear for formal occasions and they are usually in sneakers and consider they really comfortable.

I bought these in an Allen Edmonds store and the clerk alerted me to the fact that these run large and I should size down. I’m glad he did, and it’s possible I should have sized down an extra half size. They are wider than my other pairs of Allen Edmonds but they’re still great shoes once you find the right fit. I’ve gotten more compliments for these than perhaps any other pair of shoes I own and like all Allen Edmonds, once you break them in and the cork sole takes the shape of your foot, they’re very comfortable. It’s true that the finish is imprecise in places but honestly I suspect that’s intentional as these are meant to have a more rustic feel than their classical collections. I’ve had them for a year and wear them frequently, while walking and cycling and they look as good as new.

From the box the shoes were a perfect fit. I can wear them all day long and then go out at night and my feet never hurt, never sweat and are always comfortable.

My daughter is getting married, and I ordered several pairs of shoes knowing that I would probably only keep one. I sent these back only because, at a distance, they sort of duplicate a pair of wingtips I already own. Not an easy decision, because up close these shoes are works of art. Very careful and skillful workmanship. I am a pretty consistent 8.5 shoe size. The width and volume of the shoe felt good but there was a bit of heel slip, which tends to lessen as a shoe breaks in. As a recommendation, I would say my pair ran ever so slightly large. If you like the look of these, buy them. Killer shoes!!

Not true, I shower regularly, but the sentiment is there. Truly an amazing shoe. I "moved up" from wearing Johnston & Murphy's and I do not regret that decision. They are comfortable and extremely stylish. Favorite thing about these shoes is the sound of my heels hitting the tile floor in my office. It's a power move. We attorneys are all about image and these shoes have me steps ahead! Happy customer.

I have over 147 pairs of Allen Edmonds and love every pair. Many are designed by me using two toned leathers for the Strand model and the McAllister model. Great fit and comfortable.

I'm very happy with the quality, color and size. I called and spoke to a really nice customer service person who helped me ensure I ordered the right shoe and I got it when I wanted it to arrive. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Beautiful shoes, -- the cordovan in chili is magnificent. Mine ran very narrow. I have worn 9.5 D my whole adult life and own several AE shoes, all in 9.5D, including a Park Avenue, which I believe is on the same last. I had to exchange these for a 9.5E. Really surprised me. Like all AE shoes though, a great bargain and quality is unimpeachable.

This is my "Umteenth" pair of Allen Edmonds and I love this pair as much as my first, (which are probably somewhere in my closet)! The quality & workmanship are unmatched! The next time you need shoes "INVEST" in a pair of Allen Edmonds and you will be a customer for life!! Ralph Vines

The 10E fits my foot perfectly and they felt good as soon as I put them on.

I ordered a pair of the Strand in size 13 (US) and width 3E only to find that they are not much wider than a standard M width. For comparison, I have shoes from Johnston and Murphy, Rockports, and other quality shoe makers that are in width 3E or just "wide", and they are all far wider than the Allen Edmunds 3E width. Also, upon unboxing my Strands I found the badly streaked coloring shown in the photo. For American made shoes that cost four hundred dollars, this is unaccetpable. Overall, very disappointed and will be returing these.

There is a reason these are expensive. This is a masterfully crafted shoe that immediately fits like you’ve been wearing it for years

The fit and quality were okay, but the style and comfort were awful. They look great in pics, but on the foot, they look terrible. The toe cap is much too short. They look old fashioned, and not in good "timeless" sort of way. In real life, the seam work looks industrial. They felt heavy and looked heavy. Clunky. They were not stylish and elegant. A fine leather dress shoe at this price should look and feel light. They were not easy to walk in. I had to pay attention to how I walked in them. Perhaps all this was due to the fact that I wear a size 14N. I understand that some of the proportions may get distorted when they get stretched out this far, so my experience might not be indicative of someone who wears a 10M. But probably not. I did also receive a pair of Bruno Magli Moccio in this same order and they managed to get 14N perfect.

Was really excited for these, but the pair I received were worse than seconds. The welt weaved in and out of the groove and the color was super uneven. Returned. Guess what people say about AEs quality control is down the drain are correct. Shame that American craftsmanship has fallen by the wayside.

The black AE Park Avenue is perfect formal shoes. The 65 last runs narrow, which applies to PA, Fifth Avenue, Strand, Strandmok. So size one up on Letter size, otherwise, a noticeable V-gap at the shoelace will be annoying. People with high-arch foot need not purchase. The leader sole can be slippery so the PA should not be a "travel/commute/everyday" shoes. Also, the leather makes noises when first worn, so either break them in or apply baby powder at the tongue. All negative aside, the Park Avenue are essential to any man's collection.

Great belt. Runs true to size. Matches my Walnut Strands perfectly.

I wear a 14 in most shoes. The 14 was way too big in this. The 13 was just right. The sizing is very similar to my Red Winf Heritage Iron Ranger boots.
