- Athlete-inspired and built for speed, this is the Arc'teryx® Sylan Pro shoe for mountain runners looking to move faster on technical trails. The midsole's rocker geometry drives propulsion and is made from InFuse, a light, highly responsive EVA and Polyolefin composition that provides rebound and absorbs shock. The grippy Vibram Megagrip outsole uses LITEBASE technology to shed weight without sacrificing performance, and aggressive lugs deliver a confident bite. The fit locks tight, and a knit collar seals out debris.

The best trail running shoes for long distance and speed! I absolutely LOVE my Sylan Pros for trail races and the everyday long run. They are very responsive, cushioned, and have a rocker feel that helps with speed downhill. It has a really great rock plate and Vibram technology on the bottom of the shoes. I have 2 pairs of the Sylans and absolutely love them. If youre looking for fast, lightweight, durable, and responsive trail runners these are for you! I am obsessed with them and have used them on all my big ultras.

I'm not a professional runner, but I can see the difference compared to other types of shoes. The load is placed on the midfoot. Overall, I run better/differently than in the NORVAN LD 4.
