This Wolverine model is heavier and more bulky than my Harrison model Wolverines. Also the XW width is not as wide as the boots labeled EEEE widths.
I love the this ankle boot. Although it has minimal arch support this can be easily fixed with a decent insert.
I've had the same pair for four years, and they're still holding up well with being worn once or twice a week (sometimes more). I've needed to resole them a few times from walking on the streets of NYC but the body is just fine, and I'm pretty bad about properly taking care of the leather. They are expensive no doubt, but from a dollar/use perspective, you really cannot do wrong.
I had high hopes for these boots. They're lovely boots on the outside, but quality lacking on the inside. No support in the insole, and the liner was surprisingly flimsy. The inner elastic goring and back of the boot rubbed my ankles. The lack of comfort wasn't worth the break-in, so back to Zappos they went.
Not extra wide size doesn't feel coerect very small my redwing's where much better fit good quality just runs small
I bought the black suede and the dark brown leather and both are gorgeous. These run true to size in my opinion. I'm an 8.5 and I tried the size 8 as some of the reviews stated these run large. Not so, in my case. Stick with your normal size and these should fit you fine. I love these boots. Super cute. Comfy. Stylish. I highly recommend this bootie.
Gorgeous! I bought the dark brown (which is a tad bit lighter in color than shown) and I also bought the new black suede boots. Both are gorgeous and comfortable. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 but decided to size down a half size..WRONG..go with your normal size. I have to return the smaller size and go with my normal size of 8 1/2. I can't wait to get the new size delivered to me. These are pricey boots, but definitely worth the money.
Not used to the box toe, felt like my foot wanted to slide forward so heel wouldn't stay down - worried about blisters. No sign of a steel shank - flexed all the way to the heel so no support for ladders. Insole glued in so not removable as described. Made in China as usual.
I've given these boots to my Alaska Son in law twice: 2013 and 2015. He needs a new pair and like the way these fit and hold up in outdoor heavy Alaskan weather. He needs another pair and admitted to me that the lining in the second pair didn't hold up as well this time. I'm giving you another chance...
i have purchased several boots from zappos...these are the best...need to keep in stock
