Extremely stiff and rubbed my heel immediately. I’ll give them a few wears to soften up though because they’re so cute.

I ordered half a size up knowing old skools are more narrow and they fit but were uncomfortable with any sock thicker than footies. If the width was not a problem, the cushioning seemed fine to wear throughout the day

Great fit and great color. Good for skating and for style. I wear these when I skate and for trying to look casual out doors. Great shoe

They run large. I usually wear a 10-10.5 and feel like I could get away with a 9 in these. Ended up 9.5 and they're slightly loose.

My teenage sons are big fans of Vans and this model is a favorite. They like the fabric, the lighter color for the summer months, and comfortable enough to wear them when traveling. Good life span - and that's a rare thing!

Not as comfortable as lo pros, and takes a good 1-2 weeks to break in, but the sky blue color is insane. Almost glows in the dark.

Classic design that looks good with almost anything. The canvas is extremely stiff when the shoes are first worn, so wear them for short periods of time for the first few days to break them in and expect a little pain and blistering during that time.

I love pink, so I bought these bright pink vans. Unfortunately, they provide ZERO arch support and I won't be able to wear them for hours & hours...they look GREAT, but they just aren't as comfortable and I thought they would be (like my Nikes). I'll try some arch supports and see if that helps. Customer service at Zappos though, continues to be OUTSTANDING. I love all the choices, brands etc. from which to choose, and the next day deliver is superior service!

I love these shoes, however they seem to run a little narrow to me. They very uncomfortable due to the sizing. Once you get the sizing right, then thumbs up. :)

Classic Vans fit. No arch support, no squishy sole, no wheels on the heels. Just a crude but stylish cover for your feet.

Super cute. Matches my kids (although did not buy with that purpose). Unfortunately, the tongue comes up so high on me it cuts in on the top of my ankle and wasn't comfortable. Nice and cute, the fit was fine except the tongue issue. Maybe since they're unisex, they don't fit women as well.

These are a great retro style. There is not a lot of insole padding. Folks with tender feet might need to add additional cushioning. They appear to be made well. Zappos was great to work with. There were no hassles.

I've worn Vans Old Skools for a long time and decided to mix it up a little bit and get the Black Canvas Old Skool. When I bought them I thought they would be a Canvas version of the Suede shoe, but they fit more like the Vans Eras. This shoe is a hybrid of the Era and Old Skool. They look pretty sweet, but next time I'll be gettin' a pair of Suede ones.

The shoes are very yummy. They are exactly as I expected them to be. The breaking out of the shoe is taking longer than I expected. Its still scraping my ankle raw until I can wear it out a little.

Awesome shoe, classic look (just don't jump around too much) - I definitely love the classic look that you can get out of a good pair of old school Vans. I bought the shoes in Espresso and received them in 2 days with free shipping. I love wearing them out, around the house, and anywhere else. If you are like me and jump down just about every flight of stairs you see, watch out. This shoe doesn't have quite enough padding to take big drops, but for style it just can't be beat.

Old School - Looks great. Great quality. BUT you should buy a size bigger. I got blisters on the back part of my right foot and a big black scab on my left. Too bad I got this as a gift and wore it several of times, or else I would've exchanged them.

How can you go wrong? Tried and true. Simple, spare construction with little cushioning, but they feel fine nonetheless. And let's be honest here, it's about the way they look.

Vans old school flowers - They gave me a blister the first time I wore them, so I put on ankle socks next time. I teach middle school and the kids love these shoes. My mom likes ‘em too.

Soo Cute - I really loved these shoes; I like the look and the style. The only thing is they were a little larger than marked but they still hurt the back of my heel. The first week I tried to loosen up the leather by twisting the back of the shoe and eventually it softened so now it doesn't hurt anymore.

I've been wearing slip-ons my entire life, and only owned one previous pair of Old Skools. They don't really have enough support for my arches, which was remedied by buying some shoe inserts. They also cut up the Achilles tendons pretty badly for about a week until they were entirely broken in. I do however, love the patterns Vans puts on these shoes, and the comfort level has become much better now that the shoes and my feet are getting along.
