son-in-law had to return product because it was a bit heavy and a bit wide for his foot, but said these were about the best he ever tried.

I use these boots for work, and while I have been a "Pit Boss" wearer for a decade, I decided to give these a try. These boots are comfortable - really comfortable. Actually a little too comfortable. The sole has middle layer of really cushy soft material, which is really soft and compliant. Ideally this would work well, but for me in a work boot, this allows the boot to roll a little side to side where a slightly stiffer sole would resist this rolling.
Other than this really minor complaint, these boots are really great looking, tough, and almost perfect for daily use in a work environment. I do love them, but I will start using them for casual wear more than work.

the boondock 6 inch is a comfortable boot. don't get me wrong. the bottom of your feet will thank you after a long day standing on concrete. i have had 2 problems with this boot though. they are wide. i mean very wide. if you tie the laces tight though you should of no problem, and that leads to my second problem. with both hooks looped tight, the top of the boot dug into my leg and would hurt to walk. the solution was only tie the bottom hook and they are as comfortable as any shoe you will ever wear. i do like that they put the hooks on this boot and that is why i will not get the 8" boondocks. it is a nice feature. all in all, a great boot if you have it tied properly.

So far they feel very comfortable right out of the box. I had the 9" Boondock pros for a little over a year and they started to leak and the sole started to rip. I called Timberland and they sent me out a new pair, which I was not expecting. They're a standup company to do that. For that I would definitely purchase another pair. Thanks again!

I work in the oilfield, so these boots are really put to the test. They are by far the most comfortable, best fitting, and most durable boots that I have ever owned. As mentioned in the title, only one issue, they leak at the seam where the boot meets the sole. I would recommend these boots to anyone because of the comfort and protection they offer, just make sure you purchase seam sealer along with the boot. My feet have never felt so good after a 12.5 hour shift. Great work Timberland!!

unless your working on very duty things and your stepping on metal or mud every work week i would recommend to get something lighter these will wear out your feet if your working 40 hours a week and always walking

I bought these boots in my normal size to wear inside and outside as a powerplant operator walking on a variety of surfaces including metal grating, concrete, ballast stone, and snow. These boots felt so good when I tried them on in the show truck, even though I recognized right away that they are very heavy. I wore them every day for about a week and realized that the internal structure of the boot is not supportive enough and it constantly feels like I'm wearing mud encrusted boots(heavy), and I'm not, while walking through a swamp. These boots are tiring to wear and walk in. It's like constantly walking in sand. I then gave them to my son to try. He works in electrical substations climbing structures, walking on concrete, ballast stone, etc. and he feels the same way... these boots are just too tiring to walk in with their heavy weight and very soft internal structure. The boots show virtually no wear, but they've only been worn for a few weeks. I will not buy these boots again. I have a couple pairs of the Boondock HD logger boots and they are night and day more comfortable to wear all day than these are.

The first pair I bought (3 years ago) were great, no problems at all. The pair I bought this year had a perpendicular ridge inside right in the middle and it somehow caused my socks to slide down and bunch up at my toes. First pair were made in Vietnam, second pair were made in Bangladesh.

Comfortable boot, but the sole is the only problem, it doesn't last. I would recommend boondock boots for light jobs.

The boots are very comfortable and snug to the foot. I recommend wearing mid to high ankle socks because upper cushion section rubs the legs in an uncomfortable manner. The toe section with the rubber is perfect for working in cluttered work areas on the job. You won’t even notice that you touched something against the boots unless you look down.

The shoe is rather challenging to tie up consistently and where it fits the foot evenly. The first few days of wearing I felt a strain on the front of my right shin and top of my left foot. I finally loosened it up and skipped the top eyelet which provided better fit and comfort.
I used these on a hike and they were too stiff and I turned my ankle with them.
They did alleviate some of the back pain I’d been feeling from other boots and shoes, that had worn out, but the fit issues and new pains definitely don’t outweigh that.

I received my boots, tried them on and were too small. Ordering next size larger to give them another try.

I bought this boot to wear to work. The sole is very comfortable. That being said, the boot is heavier than others. Also, on the pair I have there is an area on the tongue of the boot where the stitching comes together that has created a large knot (it feels like) and when I tighten my laces...it digs into my leg and has created a bruise. That alone makes me want to buy a different pair.

I bought these for my husband and I ordered them in his size and they were far too big around the top off his foot. The extra room caused his foot to move too much in the boot and within a few days of having them they started causing him foot pain. I am returning and exchanging them for a different size in hopes it will solve the problem. If not we will have to find something else.

Great boot, however for me my only complaint is the sole of boot doesn't last if you're a hard worker! If you're lazy then these should last you two years or so!

Unfortunately the boot itself is too bulky for my boyfriends liking, but it seems like a very durable boot. We plan on ordering a smaller boot.

I work as a tow truck operator, so I walk on oily rollback decks without slipping and my feet stay nice and dry as long. These boots are great for their slip resistance, and the uppers have remained in great shape including the toe. But the sole of the boots are wearing faster then other boots I have owned. So
Pro: slip resistance
Uppers extremely durable
The anti fatigue insoles work great
Cons: sole wears extremely quickly
If timberland at least offered a discounted resoleing service for their pro line of boots, or changed the chemistry in the boots to keep the non slip grip but also add more durability that would be great

Really good boot probably the best boot I've ever had other than it's not lasting as long as boots I've had in the past. The sole wore down quicker than I thought it would and I've probably only had them for about 6 months. Also the heel on the inside wore through they need to put like a leather piece on the inside so the heel slides in and out easy. The comfort is unmatched, I work in the oil field and I'm on my feet for 16 hours a day and my feet feel great after a long day. The water proof works great my feet have not gotten wet once and sometimes I'm in water all day long. I would give it a 5 star if it weren't for the heel and the sole wearing out quick. I have recommended this boot to co workers and out here word of mouth is everything.

These boots are incredibly comfortable and a pleasure to walk in, however the outsole of the boot only lasted me about 7-8 months until the heel part wore down completely to the cushiony part, I do work a 60 hour work week though so it may last you longer.

Had these boot for the winter in Arizona and they did well besides feeling half a size too big. Now that its summer time in the 100's my feet have been feeling like an oven and I'm unable to use these for work. Waterproofing is great at the cost of breathability.
