The shoes were reasonably attractive and when I put them on they fit my foot well in my standard size 9 but as soon as I stood and took a step the pain was a no-go for me. The top of the bootie, which hits above the ankle at the lowest part of the shin, has no flex whatsoever. At every step it dug painfully into the front of my leg. I could only take three steps and I was done. This is not something that will “break in” because it is stiff imitation leather. Even with a pair of socks and it didn’t help. I do not have thick ankles, nor do I have skinny ankles, I am about as average as they come.

These fit true to size. The wide is truly wide so if your foot only runs a little wide I would go with the medium. I am 5'1 1 and wear a size 11 shoe. These were cute boots when I unboxed them and I really wanted them to work for the price and the style, but when I tried to walk in them, the tops of the boots dug into the front and back of my shins - the faux leather was relatively stiff and it was too painful to wear with bare legs. I did not try them with socks or nylons. I am very tall with smaller/medium calves and I think that if the circumference of the boot was closer to the circumferance of my shins it would not have hurt. I think they are worth a try, if you have a little bit larger than average ankles and calves, especially if they are on sale. The kitten heel was comfortable and easy to walk in.

I ordered a wide it seems to be a medium. I ordered a whole size up but was to tight they run narrow.

omgosh this boot is SO GORGEOUS. Cushioned, comfortable right out of the box. Cute as all heck!!!

I really like the looks of these boots, but I have very narrow and flat feet and they arch was just too loose.

These are very cute but VERY uncomfortable! The material is very stiff and the top of the opening hits my legs when I walk and causes bruises. I am really disappointed.
