Not sure why some women are writing that these fit "truly skinny calves." My calves are on the slimmer side of average -- not very skinny -- and these boots still gapped and sagged. Also, much of this boot is not leather but textile. And in case anyone wonders (since this info is impossible to locate), the boots are made in Vietnam. Really wish this detail would be stated on the product page.

I have the mid calf boot in various colors and tried this taller version. Love it. Same comfortable fit and wide enough for my C width feet. I get size 8 to wear with socks; my regular shoe size is 7.5. Great boot. Just a tad pricey.
