Salomon shoes usually fit my feet beautifully but this style was an exception. I expect new shoes to be stiff for a day or two, but these were unyielding. The only color choice available was odd too -- "Plum Kitten" (mauve) combined with peach.

I have worn the Salomon Ultra w40 for years for hiking and walking and can wear them all day. Love the way they fit my narrow foot. Could not find them anywhere so ordered the X Ultra 360 and have mixed feelings. Love the fit BUT the hard toe protector has been agony to wear. I'm going to wear the shoes a little at a time to try to break them in more. Are you no longer making the Ultra w40???

I have now bought about 6 pairs...I absolutely love this shoe...I wear them everyday to walk my pups and I hike in the Adirondack mountains with them...I use to only hike in boots but these have changed that entirely....they fit me sooo well....please never discontinue this shoe!!
