Very disappointed. While initially feeling snug but usable, this boot is NOT A WIDE (despite being labeled "wide" on the packaging) and does not fit properly for the size and width. I am a regular buyer of hiking gear, and hike regularly. While the boots appear to be good quality, the fit is intolerable. If you look at other reviews of this boot on other sites, you'll find out many others think it is far too narrow. Columbia phone support was friendly, but did absolutely nothing to help (you can't return a boot that has any wear on it). Very disappointed in wasting the price of these boots, and disappointed in Columbia for not making it right.

These boots felt too tight from day one, but I thought they would loosen up and adapt to my foot as most other footwear tends to do. I wore them for short walks before using them as intended for a two day trip to NYC. On day two, the pain in my right ankle was excruciating from rubbing against the upper. I could not walk, only hobble about like a handicap. Very maddening to have this happen as a result of the boot's design. Unfortunately I did not pack extra footware. I would not recommend these boots for comfort, or any style of hiking. I like Columbia products, and have purchased plenty of their products with complete satisfaction, but not these boots.

Good looking boot and quite warm. Ordered a wide width for my husband and he did feel it ran a bit narrow but fortunately, is loosening up a bit as he wears them. Great bargain though.

Boots are comfy and do not take much to break it. I'd suggest getting tall socks as shorter socks to do not feel right.

I bought a similar pair of boots from Columbia earlier this year. I was very pleased with them. I have purchased other boots that claim to be waterproof that were not. The first boots were waterproof. I decided to get these as a I wanted a black pair of boots that were waterproof. I also require a wide size and they are hard to find. These boots fit perfectly and they are waterproof. I couldnt be happier. My wife is pleased as theyre not my normal footwear of combat boots.
