These boots are gorgeous! Most Frye boots do not fit me well but these fit nicely out of the box. I debated on going a half size but ultimately thought they would break in fine in my standard 9. My only disappointment is how THIN the leather is in the boot shaft- I was almost wondering if these were not real FRYE boots because I’ve never seen leather this thin in a boot shaft. Literally feels flimsy. I thought about sending them back, but they are so pretty that I decided to keep them. I hope they hold up. For the price I feel, though that the leather should have been much more substantial.

Perhaps we got a lemon pair of boots but since receiving in late Oct 2024, the inner liner has detached and balled up in the foot and more problematic. . . the heel bottom came off - I am not even sure how this can happen but it's hard to fix and is super annoying. . . If I ca attach a picture, I will. Anyway - expected these boots to last 5 years, not 2 months and have. never ecxperienced anything like this with a product that is supposed to be "top quality". In addition, dealing with customer service is so frustrating. There is no phone call, only email and lots of "run around". . . IF the boot comes back into stock, I can send them in and they can be investigated by Frye and they will let me know in 10-14 days. WHAT? Not sure what this accomplishes other than making annoyed customers. All I want is a quality boot that I never need to email anyone about - seems reasonable based on the Frye brand claims. . . time will tell but this experience has been a real eye opener and I have low expectations - especially when you cannot reach a human to resolve a fairly simple situation.

I followed the recommendation and ordered a half size larger - wish I hadn’t. Did I mis understand and I’m supposed to size DOWN? I’m returning and ordering my usual size. I hope they fit bc I love them. The color, the heel, the quality. Everything I want in a boot.

Really nice quality but they felt very tight and narrow for a size 8. Also hard to get my heel past the harness. I thought they looked nice on but others said the heel looked too chunky.

These boots are gorgeous. However I ordered a size 8 and ended up needing a size 7.5. I am usually a size 8 and my other FRYE boots are a size 8.

I ordered two pair - my typical size 8.5 and then an 8. The 8.5 was too large. However, should I have wanted to wear thick wool socks then I would have kept the 8.5. They weren’t swimming on me but I don’t wear super thick socks so the 8 was much more usable. Great leather! True quality craftsmanship! Super quick shipping with Zappos!

Hard to get your heel to seat in the boot because your foot catches where the harness straps are. They are also very narrow.

I love these boots, great quality, great fit and timeless style. Highly recommend, I typically wear a 7 but with Frye boots I need a 7 1/2.

I ordered a size 5. 5 in distressed black and they fit true to size for me. I love the look of the distressed leather and the buckle. These boots feel like theyre high quality while also being so cute and comfortable. Im so happy with my purchase

I ordered 4 pairs and ended up keeping these ones. Theyre absolutely perfect and the distressing is why I love them so much! Im 54 110 pounds. They run a little narrow for me, but I do have a wide toe box. After wearing them around the house with big socks they feel okay!

Had high hopes but alas…here we are. Style is awesome. A true mid shaft boot. I have a high instep so a zipper is a must. Yay! This checks that off . I knew as soon as I put the shoe on that this was going to be extremely tight on my end step one zippered up. It was extremely tight. And I am normally a 7 1/2 and I got an eight so I already got it big. It was tight enough that I did not feel comfortable holding on and hoping it would stretch out. Sadly, I have to return these.

Years ago I had the Frye 12R & they were the most comfortable boot & went with everting. I wore a hole in the sole b/c they were my go to. I wanted to try a slightly different style & at a lower price so I bought the Kate Harness. Either Frye boots are just not as comfortable anymore & the quality has suffered over the years or this style is just not for me. The leather is thin & the boots feels a bit clunky. I have been wearing them around the house trying to love them. I followed many people's advice & ordered my normal size. I do feel if I went a half size down then they might be hard to get on & would be cramped in the toes. The toe box is good for me in my normal size, but my heel slips a lot - so would need a heel pad. Unfortunately these are not for me. Frye also does not ship to Alaska anymore so I can't find the styles & colors easily to try on.
