Size and fit were consistent with other birkenstocks. I really like the style and the pearly shine of the shoe. The color is a great neutral for summer wear. However, this style just isn't for me. I had hoped the catalina would be a little more secure feeling than the madrid, but such was not the case. There just isn't enough substance covering the foot to keep it securely on. And I didn't want to be gripping the shoe with my toes at every step. I'll stick with the arizona berkies.

These sandals are beautiful and supportive, unfortunately I can't wear them because of bunions. So, I am sending them back.

I purchased the 39 taupe, size was perfect. I love the buckle which adds a dressiness to the sandal with a sparkle in the taupe. My big toe does have a small blister, but I'm sure it'll get used to it.

This a beautiful slide sandal. My bunions won't let me enjoy them. So sadly, I am returning them.

The shoe runs narrow at the front but normal in the back. I really wanted these to work but alas, I'm back to the drawing board.
