very disappointed in the bondi 9. ordered a 4E width and it's more narrow than the 2E width of my bondi 8.

These shoes are horrible. Every complaint about the cushioning is spot on. It's like walking on outdoor furniture cushions that have been left in the weather too long. There's no flexibility or spring and after walking only half a mile I was hobbling. The arch support is terrible and it's far narrower than any other wide width shoe I've worn. I'll never buy another pair of Hokas!

To tight feet hurt walking short distances

Shoe was so small I could not even get on my foot.

I could not even get the first shoe I tried on my foot. You need to change the 4E-Extra Wide designation to "Just a wee bit wider."

Not well Made!! , you could see visible stiching where the laces are..such a premium cost for a low quality.

I found these shoes very uncomfortable. I wore them for a few hours in the house, my heel sank into the rear of the shoe, the sole did not feel very supported. They completely changed the geometry of my ankle and it felt very unstable. By the end of the day my ankle was in agony, later that night I was tempted to go to the ER due to the pain. Thankfully the pain started to subside overnight, but it took 4 days (Wearing other sneakers) before the pain was gone

Quality has gone way down. Glue visible at the seams, in some places not fully glued. Price higher, quality lower

The toe box and sole are much narrower than previous models. I will be returning them.

toe box area was too narrow

First of all, these are by far the most comfortable shoes I've ever had and love(d) them! I was so happy until I started my 2nd run in them and immediately noticed my knees (front patella area) were sore. It seemed to wear off shortly in the run until the last half mile home (of a 3 mile run), the soreness came back worse and I knew something was very wrong at this point. The pain/soreness lasted for hours and I did a quick Google search of "can new hoka shoes cause new knee pain?" and discovered on Reddit thread that other people had the same problem I have, although it looks to be a small percentage of us runners, and its probably with any/all max cushion shoe with rocker soles. Turns out due to factors like a significant change in the shoe's heel drop, the extra cushioning and rocker design potentially altering the run gait, Hoka shoes are intended to take some load off the lower legs (especially the achilles tendon and calves). However, that doesn't mean that the load disappears. It's possible that in my case, it's moving up the kinetic chain to the knees. So the knees would then be exposed to a higher load than they were when used with traditional daily trainers. There is even an article in the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport "Biomechanics of running with rocker shoes" that shows this (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S144024401630055X). Again, probably only a small percentage of us that this happens to, but I threw out the original Hoka box it came in and now own a very expensive pair of walking shoes for the next 20 years. ;-)

much to narrow

Great feel, but started squeaking. I’ve worn them now, so not sure what to do with them.

Hoka durability and support has definitely gone down since the Bondi 7. Tried the Bondi 9 and it was absolute trash compared to how great the shoe used to be!! You would think Hoka would be getting better and better, but it's actually getting worse!! I used to be a Hoka fan but not anymore!!!

Unhappy with the style

I’ve owned several pairs of Hoka Bondi 7s and decided to give the Bondi 9 a try. For me, the changes they made to the shoe end up hurting my feet, causing my achilles tendinitis to flare up and then causing achilles bursitis to occur. I believe that the rear foot cradle that they added to this newer version caused all of my foot pain and problems. I hadn’t run in a month prior to wearing the shoes and only wore them 3 days for them to mess up my feet. I really wish they hadn’t changed the Bondi 7 design because I wore those after partially tearing both my achilles and couldn’t have rehabbed them without the Bondi 7. Really disappointed with the Bondi 9

Great sneaker. So comfortable and good looking.

Would love to have gotten to wear these, but Zappos sent me a pair of Hoka Cliftons that were very used. On the return I wasn't even offered a pair of what I actually ordered.

this is the second time i have received the wrong shoes! the color is not what was ordered and the shoes were clearly worn and dirty! Done with zappos!

i have bought bondi 8 EE these are not labeled EE just wide too tight

Received the wrong shoes. The box was Hoka and the Shoes were Puma.
