I have purchased 4 pairs of Hoka Bondi in the past. Loved them all, especially Bondi 8, and recommended them enthusiastically to all my friends. My love affair with Bondi is now over after just purchasing their newest Bondi 9. Words can’t describe what a piece of absolute junk this newest version is. Unlike my other Bondis it is very uncomfortable, hurt the side of my left foot and hurt the forefoot of my right. Lesson learned. No more Bondis for me ever again.

I think this might be my last pair of Hoka shoes. They have just gone too far with the foam. More foam doesn’t make a better sneaker. Style and color? They deserve a 10 all day long. But the foam! It’s just too squishy for me. Why do they think 3mm more in the Bondi 9 va Bondi 8 would be better???? When I wear them I can’t help but feel like I bought a pair of really, really expensive foam sandals, not to be named here.

Finally 4E Hoka Bondi’s in more than black or white. Super comfortable. Now I’ve an option other than Brooks Please add even more color options!

I wore them for the first time yesterday on a 5 mile urban trail hike. Very comfortable, great support. I've been walking in a pair of "barefoot" style hiking shoes. I do like the feel of my feet hitting the trail, but I like even more Hoka's cushioned comfort. I'll probably hang up my barefoot shoes except for the gym. I typically wear size 11 and I got a pair of 11 Hokas, and they felt comfortable and snug, maybe a wee bit too snug, but not so snug to want to size up. They are new and I suspect they will loosen some with use. One thing that is a minor annoyance with Hoka, is that they do have a large foot print and it's sort of hard to drive in them, especially if you have a manual transmission with tight room between the three pedals on the floorboard. But no big deal, I just don't drive in them.

My husband is a teacher who stands & walks around all day. He's been dealing with knee & hip pain for years and says these are the best shoes he's ever worn. His pain is basically gone.

Fits and performs great. Sturdier midsole protection than the Bondi 8.

Not true to size and width

Size and width were fine, the arch support was not great. I didn't want to select no arch support on the drop down choices, IMO it is not moderate either. Also, there is a hump towards the front of the shoe, that feels a little stressfully.

Fit great out of the box. Felt good walking around indoors. However, when I started my normal walk I found the midsole to be too squishy and painful for me. Maybe it's the low drop?

They changed the shape of the Bondi 9 in the forefoot area. The Bondi 8's were wider in the forefoot which accommodated an outer bunion I have on my right foot. The fabric is flexible, but my bunion doesn't like any pressure on it. Also, I'm not really a fan of the squishier sole. So...not the shoe for me.

Hoka swung and missed on this new verison. Had them for roughly only 4 months and maybe 100 miles on them, but now they're completly breaking down on the outside - meaning zero support and now it feels like my feet are falling off towards the outside. I have orthotics and still doesn't keep my feet from rolling.

I am a fan of Hoka. Not enough support for my knees.

my foot just sank into them with no support. felt like my ankle would turn.

I own literally 10 pairs of Hokas Bondi 7. The Bondi 8 and 9 are nothing like the wonderful Bondi 7. These Bondi 9 Hurt my feet. Please Bring back the original Bondi last-like those Bondi 7s!

I found the Bondi 9 painful to wear as well a feeling of not having a firm grip on flat surfaces. After a short time, I could no longer wear the shoes. I went to my Podiatrist thinking there might be something with my feet. I was assured there wasn't anything wrong with my feet. She recommended New Balance 990 as well as Brooks. I went to my local shoe store and purchase a pair of New Balance 990. The sales person told me that they have had many more complaints on the latest Hoka shoes. While there, I met another customer who had the same experience I have had but on the Clifton version of Hoka. Note, I have has worn Hoka's Bondi's for the past 5 years. They have done something to the 9 that creates the shoe to be very uncomfortable.

Very uncomfortable shoe. The Bondi 9 is nothing like the Bondi 8. Hoka should have left the Bondi 8 as it was. I returned the shoe and will look elsewhere for a nice white walking shoe.

Great shoe and fit, just wish they were not so expensive.

the EE width is exc and so is the option for EEE. too bad that more of your style are not available in EE or EEE. i have found that your shoe styles without the extra width are always too narrow-- Kaha Low. ive had to return or stop wearing them.

Hubby had been looking for supportive sneakers, and these fit the bill. He reports that his knee, shin, ankle and foot pain all disappear when wearing these Hokas!

Quite possibly the best Bondi yet. Extremely comfortable and supportive. Great for my troublesome feet. Absolutely love it. Zappos service is impeccable.

I am thrilled with my first pair of Bondi 9s and am about to order a second pair. I have used Bondi 8s for several years on my podiatrist's recommendation. They have been a lifesaver for me. I was nervous about going to a new version of Bondi and the difference is huge, but I am even more in love with the Bondi 9 than the 8! These provide excellent support and comfort. I wish Hoka would provide more muted colors. I have no interest in the bright, crazy colors they push.

This is a great cushioned shoe. Took it out of the box an ran 5 miles no problem. Shoe is slightly narrow but I think with a couple more runs the footbed will mold to my foot and it will be perfect

My husband looks forward to wearing these shoes. Seem light when picked them up.

I bought these for my husband because his ASICS were hurting his feet. He says this shoe is comfortable and "bouncy." He wears them for his daily walks.

This was the 4th HOKA Bondi I have owned. I ordered the same size I had had in the past. Hoka changed the style and eliminated the additional support on the top just above the sole and they appeared to be much narrower.
