The length was good. It was a little wider than I expected or then I had Previously experienced in Mizuno shoes.. And the style was acceptable. But I was very disappointed in the lack of support. I didn't choose a rating of "No Support" But the support was less than moderate to the point of being unacceptable. I didn't feel the confidence and control that I've become accustomed to getting from Mizuno Inspire models of the past.

I have worn this Mizuno Wave Inspire Shoe from the first edition up to the 20. My Zappos history shows most of this. The 21 is not at all consistent with the other previous versions. Although comfortable to some I am sure, they made some significant changes. It is no longer a neutral/support runner. The extra cushioning in the heel actually allows for more rearfoot motion and more pronation for a heel and mid foot striker. More cushion in heel was a bad biomechanical idea for this shoe. I transferred my allegiance to a Brooks Adrenaline, which is what this shoe used to feel like. Disappointed to say the least...I was as loyal as it gets. Extra cushion in support and motion control shoes that have been proven to work is a backwards idea.

I've been purchasing this shoe for 3-4 years. Probably started with either the 19 or 20. It's got good stability which is important to me. I'm not a runner, rather a walker who has developed a bunion issue.

Great training running shoe that has excellent support and cushion for long and short recovery runs. Yet, light enough shoe to feel energetic during interval training runs. The shoe has a roomy toe box for comfort too.
