If you're a runner who values comfort above all else, a max cushion running shoe is a game-changer. I’ve been running in the Mizuno Neo Zen for several weeks now, and here’s my take. Comfort The standout feature of these shoes is undeniably the plush cushioning. From the moment I put them on, I could feel the difference compared to other running shoes I've tried. The thick midsole absorbs impact beautifully, making each step feel incredibly soft, even on hard pavement. This shoe is perfect for my runs. Support & Stability Despite the generous cushioning, the shoe doesn't compromise on support. The heel cup and arch support are well-engineered, keeping my feet stable throughout each run. It also provides a secure fit that cradles the foot without feeling restrictive. Performance For such a cushioned shoe, I was surprised by how responsive it felt. It offers a good level of energy return, especially for easy-paced runs or recovery days. Durability The outsole is made of a durable material, and after logging over 100 miles, there’s hardly any noticeable wear. I expect these shoes to last for several hundred miles, making them a solid investment for frequent runners. Breathability The upper is lightweight and breathable, preventing overheating during runs. Even on warmer days, my feet stayed cool and comfortable. Aesthetics Its sleek, yet futuristic design is FIRE!! It's also versatile enough to wear beyond just running. Final Thoughts If you’re someone who prioritizes comfort, especially on long runs, a max cushion running shoe like the Neo Zen is an excellent choice. It excels at keeping your feet happy during your run and/or just walking around. I'd highly recommend this shoe for runners dealing with joint pain or seeking extra protection, this shoe is worth every penny. Rating: 5/5

My first foray into rocker style and high stack runners. Safe to say I'll never go back :) Very cushioned yet bouncy. Even with the thick stack you still get great road feel underneath and just enough support. Also love the knit upper. They hug my feet very nicely and are very breathable. These are amazing daily trainers for the price!

This is the best trainer I've ever had - and I have had a 6-7 shoe rotation the past 12 years. So much bounce and cushion. I wear it for slow easy runs, I use it for long runs, i use it for uptempo runs, i wear it around town running errands. Such a fun and sleak looking shoe

The Mizuno Neo Zen is hands down one of the best running shoes I’ve ever worn. From the moment I put them on, the comfort was unreal, like walking on clouds but with just the right amount of support. The cushioning is soft yet responsive, making long runs feel effortless, and the energy return is top-notch. Mizuno nailed it with the Neo Zen. If you’re looking for a high-performance running shoe that delivers comfort, support, and durability, this is it. Highly recommend!

I've been a Mizuno fan for quite some time, but I have to admit I strayed a few years ago. NOW I'M BACK, BABY! This shoe cooks! Hands down the best pair I've bought, ever. Even better, they don't cost $200! Mizuno has a winner. Try it and you'll see for yourself. The shoe just feels amazing underfoot. A perfect blend of cushioning, responsiveness, and stability. The Neo Zen is motivating me to get up earlier in the morning, so I can get a few more miles in. Stupid, right? Just wait. You'll see. 10 out of 10!!!!

I've already gotten 2 pair of the Neo Zen. This shoe is the most comfortable shoe I've put on my foot. Mizuno has come to life with this new style. So soft and comfortable for the quick 5k and durable and responsive enough for the longer runs. This has become my every day shoe not just for running but for just knocking around too. Well done Mizuno! Welcome back!

True to size fit. Super bouncy midsole wide base makes for a stable ride. The upper is stretchy and can accommodate slightly wide feet. Must wear socks higher than shoe collar. It could rub your heel raw and give blisters.

I’ve been using the Mizuno Neo Zen for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed! The cushioning is fantastic, giving me a soft but responsive ride that feels great during easy runs and faster intervals. The upper fits snugly, though it’s a bit roomy in the forefoot, but it’s still super comfortable. Overall, these shoes feel durable, offer great traction, and are a very solid shoe!

This shoe feels bouncy and fun right out of the box. The upper was very accommodating for my high instep. Felt great over a variety of paces, quickly becoming my favorite in the rotation.

Been using them for my everyday run and let me tell you the comfort and response is amazing. It gives the bounce of race day shoe with the comfort of a daily trainer. I normally go a half size up for my running shoes these do run a little bigger just something to keep in mind.

Ran on the treadmill and the shoe was very cushioned and responsive as well. I over pronate on one foot and normally most running shoes tend to hurt after awhile in that foot. However, had no issues with these shoes. Felt great.

Great running shoes from Mizuno. Soft feeling but responsive when running. Also great looking shoes for casual wear. I went down half size, from my usual size. I think normal size could still work if you want more room for your toes. Looking forward to try more shoes from Mizuno in 2025!

Mizuno is a great brand, I have other models of this brand. However, the Neo Zen was not a good fit for me. After 2 miles running, my feet started to hurt. It’s just probably not the right model for me. I think quality is always good and I will definitely buy this brand again.
