Great show wide toe box

Needed all black shoe for choir performance, and for walking. Not available in my regular women's size 8-1/2, so ordered men's sizes. Per Zappo's conversion chart: W8-1/2=Euro40=M7. This was absurdly small. Eventually M8 worked, just a half size smaller than my women's' size. This accommodates my custom orthotics and has Altra's widest toe box (same as Escalante & Lone Peak, wider than Torin). My ankles, knees and hips appreciate the cushioning, my fingers appreciate the elastic heel loop that allows any of my arthritic fingers to easily grasp and guide the shoe onto my foot. Shoelaces are too long, but hey, I can live with that.

Maybe the most comfortable shoes for walking, running, or working I’ve ever worn.

I’m a woman with size 10 US wide feet and was fitted for these from my local running store. I wear a size men’s 9 normal width in these. They’re very supportive without being too bouncy, have a wide toe box, and are lightweight. I receive compliments on them as well. They got me back into running!
