These are my favorite running shorts. I even wear them when lifting. The in-waistband pull strings are fantastic. I can’t stand strings outside the shorts. But my favorite feature are the elastic pockets high on the sides of the waist. Nothing in there feels loose and I can lay on my back or stomach for stretching or lifting without items being in the way.

These are great shorts for a runner who needs a little pocket for your phone, but also great for light-weight running in a race.

My favorite running shorts have been the Brooks Sherpas, look live they've rebranded to the Journey short. These are just as great shorts, good fit, nice pockets, and no chaffing

One of the best running shorts I have ever purchased. Super lightweight and free flowing; I love the multiple pockets, I was able to hold my keys, gels and phone barely even noticed during my run. Looking forward to buying more of these.

Great shorts, but the logo starting coming off after basically the first wash. I haven't dried them since I'm sure that would finish the job.

Loved my previous iterations of this short, but the inner lining in this pair is too lose and I'm bouncing around like a bunch of raffle balls, which causes chafing. Can't use these for running.

Overall, a standard running short. I've washed and dried them twice and half of the reflective material is no longer reflective. I like the design of the side pockets.

I have became an avid runner in the past year and I am embarrassed to say these are the first shorts I have used to train in, I live in an area that isnt very warm at any time of year and I have became accustomed to joggers and sweatpants but I can honestly say these have been a game changer for me and I will never go back. I was intimidated at how small the looked at first but I loved the above the knee fit, they are lightweight and make a huge difference in the way Im able to move. I love these shorts and I am recommending them to everyone I know into running.

I have always been a life long runner. Whether it be running competitively or leisurely, I have never hesitated when it comes to the Brooks brand. Upon sliding the shorts up I knew they were the ones. The feel of them is compared to no other. With the shorts being drawstring it allows you the freedom to fit the shorts around the waist as desired, huge plus. When it comes to the design of the shorts, the light and dark grey contrast each other exceptionally and make the short look very sleek while sporting style. I love that. Dont even get me started on the fabric. I have searched ages to find a short with a very lightweight yet comfortable to the skin fabric and this short from the Brooks brand checks all the boxes. For myself personally what I find most like-able about these shorts is the ultralight weight to them and the sleek look as well. If there was one thing I were to change it would be the mesh lining on the inside of the shorts. At times as sweat secretes from the body the mesh material is not the friendliest with the skin and sweat.

These Journey Shorts are my new go to for training indoors and out. They fit true to size and are really comfortable. The fabric is lightweight, and dries quickly, and the sewn in mesh is more comfortable than other training shorts I have. I run in a foggy wet coastal environment so the quick dry time is a huge plus! I imagine they would also work to keep you dry in hot environments. They've been holding up well to washing a few times a week. These are great shorts, and I'd like them to come in a few other colors!

I recently got the Mens Journey 5-Inch Shorts, and they have quickly become my go-to for running, gym workouts, and even casual wear. The lightweight, breathable fabric keeps me cool and comfortable, even during intense sessions.
One of my favorite features is the 5-inch lengthit provides the perfect balance between coverage and mobility. Its long enough to feel comfortable and confident but short enough to allow unrestricted movement, whether Im lifting, running, or stretching. The length also helps keep me cool, especially during outdoor workouts.
I also love the design of these shorts. They have a sleek, modern fit that looks great without being too tight or restrictive. The cut allows for a full range of motion, and the subtle details, like the well-placed pockets and minimalist aesthetic, make them versatile enough to wear beyond the gym.
On top of that, the secure waistband keeps them in place, and the moisture-wicking fabric helps me stay dry. Whether youre hitting the gym or going for a run, these shorts are a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

The Brooks Mens Journey shorts were very comfortable and the inner layer of the shorts were very good and didnt ride up your leg when you started sprinting. They felt like your typical running shorts with just the Brooks logo brand on it but sadly after one wash the Brooks logo came peeling off. This did make me a bit hesitant to wear them again and wash them due to the fear that something else might rip. The material however was very comfortable and the color made it very easy to pair with other running gear. Overall I would rate the Brooks Journey shorts a 6/10.

My husband absolutely loves these shorts. We both ran throughout high school and college. So, even though were not currently competitive runners, were both still built that way. As a result, my husband has a hard time finding shorts that accommodate his running/biking leg muscles. Usually, shorts are too tight to be comfortable to exercise in or even to wear casually, but these Brooks shorts are great! He has really good range of motion and the length of the shorts makes them easier to wear than traditional mens short shorts.
The fabric is really buttery and has held up to our washing machine very well. We typically hang dry running clothes like this to keep the fabric in top condition for as long as we can. The colors and pattern are great and work to hide sweat and dirt. I think the only area that he would improve is the liner fitting, but its not bad enough to be a complaint! Definitely recommend trying these shorts!!!

These shorts are great for running. I use them in the cold weather (50 degrees in South) and also, I will use them on the treadmill. They are true to size and fit comfortable around my waist. I am a size 34 waist and 6'3'' tall. The material on these shorts is amazing and I tend to sweat a lot, so it helps big time in the comfort around the short area.
Highly recommend!

I'm a casual runner who spends most of their winter days training indoors while waiting for Spring. These Brooks Journey shorts are my perfect running and cross-training companion, providing a light and airy feel while keeping me comfortable during my daily workouts.
Like other Brooks shorts, these dry quickly and have held up great over repeated washes. One of my favorite features is that these shorts have tons of storage, featuring both a zipper pocket in the back center, as well as four smaller mesh compartments around the sides and back. While these aren't big enough to store something like a modern smartphone, they are perfect for energy gels and other prepackaged snacks to keep me fueled once I start marathon training outdoors. These pants are definitely in my rotation and I am thinking about picking up another pair! Great design as always from Brooks!

You know when you have a favorite pair of running shorts that you have worn for years and years and you can't quite find the right replacement? I have been running in a
pair of Brooks shorts for close to a decade. As a long-distance runner, I need shorts that are going to go the distance! First, my favorite feature of these shorts is the numerous pockets along the comfortable waistband (including a zipper pocket). The smooth design of the elastic waistband is very comfortable even with things in the pockets. Second of all, the built-in liner compression type shorts are a good fit while not being too tight. Finally, I expect the material of these shorts are going to last me another decade of fitness!

The 5" Journey running shorts are a versatile and comfortable choice for runners seeking a balance of performance and freedom of movement. With a lightweight, breathable fabric, these shorts are great at moisture-wicking and temperature regulation, making them ideal for both short and long runs

I have about 25 miles in these shorts and I love them. Theyre comfortable and light. Im 58 and the 5 length is great for my body-type and preference. The pockets are useful and out of the way. Theres one zippered pocked in the back, four elastic pockets that sit towards the back of my hips, and one internal pocket. The elastic pockets are great for quick grabs like gels. Im usually a size 34 waist in my pants and the medium shorts are a great fit. They dont sag or shift much at all when tied down. Overall these shorts feel minimal while still providing plenty of options to carry basics.

Aside from being slightly snug (not enough to not wear), these are great for my casual runs. The shorts are just the right length to not get in the way, yet no rubbing or chaffing. The hidden zippered pockets are great for hiding money or an ID. They aren't the warmest if you are running on a chilly day, but they aren't letting me freeze either. They do later nice too so I can wear thin compression tights underneath without issue. The color is masculine too and matches most of my clothing. I've really got no complaints comfort wise, so just know to size up a little bit.

These shorts are a cool, lightweight material that seem like they'd be great for running outside in the heat. Unfortunately, they seem to run very large. My husband is 6'3'' 260 lb, almost always an XXL in clothes, and typically wears a 38 in men's pants but the XXL was way too big on him.
