I sent this back, nothing like the old chaser other than size. Mot flattering at all and the pocket was worthless on the side. I guess I will be looking to a different brand for my new favorite shorts. Bummer, I loved the old version

These shorts are the perfect addition to my running wardrobe. I run a few times a week so I am always looking for more gear to add to my collection. I am a big fan of the color and overall design of the shorts. The fabric is light and breathable; perfect for running. The high waistband with drawstrings are great to ensure a comfortable fit. The length and loose shorts are a great combination of modest and practical. The only thing I would change about these shorts is that the inner lining is a bit tight. Overall very happy with them.

Prefer the original Chaser. The zipper on the side doesnt lay flat. Theres more material around the legs than the original Chaser.

These are by far the best running shorts Ive ever used. Im on the taller side (58) and always struggle to find shorts that are comfortable, stay put, and dont run too short. They have a short tight liner that I found helped keep them in place while running. Ive used them for a few weeks and they were indeed chafe-free. They were also functional with storage to hold essentials while out for a run. I found that these shorts run fit true to size. Aside from the comfort and functionality, these shorts were also flattering.

The Brooks Women Chaser 5 Short 2.0 are my new favorite shorts! The color I have on is Neo Cayenne and it is so vibrant and bright. I have a walking pad at home in my basement and I constantly find myself reaching for these shorts. I got them in a size L and Im about 165lbs give or take. They are so comfortable and stay put in the waistband, plus there is an adjustable draw cord. These shorts dont restrict you and provide a full range of motion. They are very lightweight and it feels like you have nothing on! Im 56 and the length is perfect for me and provides the right amount of coverage. I love that there is enough room in the leg area for walking, running, and stretching. Now I need a pair of these shorts in every color.

These shorts are worth every penny. They stay put for any kind of run. The small pocket is just big enough to throw my key fob in and the cell pocket fits my iPhone 14 perfect. Once my phone and keys are tucked away there is no bounce. I forget theyre there.

The 5 inch Chaser short felt very snug & noticeably shorter so I compared it to others I have (not Chaser 2). The new one was a full inch shorter back and front. It was also a full inch smaller at the waist and hip than the other five pairs I have. They need to be advertised as running small for the size (S).

I got Brooks Chaser shorts during the winter so I have used these mostly on the treadmill and while weight training or doing HIIT workouts. My workouts are probably 30/70 running/weights or cross training so I like that these shorts were versatile enough for both. I found the fabric really comfortable and lightweight. I am 5'0" so they're a bit mid/high waisted which I love after 3 kids. I feel nice and tucked in! The one thing that looks a little funny is that there is a draw string which goes through the waist band so it almost looks like a fold or wrinkle but my shirts are usually loose or over the waist band anyway so you don't see it. The best part of these shorts is they don't ride up while running. The inner lining is comfy and not annoying one bit and I feel totally covered if I were to do any workouts on the ground or mat. I love the hot pink color! Definitely recommend for runners!

These shorts are one of my favorites now in rotation and I cant wait until the temperature begins to warm up more to use them more frequently. I love the built in liner that makes me feel secure, but the outer material is more loose fitting and flows so well with movement. These shorts are flattering in all the right places. I received the bright orange/pink color, which as a roadside runner at times near my neighborhood, feels like an added safety measure considering the brightness. I havent experienced any chaffing or skin breakdown while wearing these shorts, a testament to friction and moisture prevention. Very pleased!

These shorts are definitely my new favorite go to running shorts! They fit perfectly, totally true to size, and feel like butter on your skin! The large band on the top makes it so that it cinches your waist in and also keeps the shorts from moving up while you run!! The bright pink/coral color is so beautiful too, every time I wear them people compliment me!

Comfortable, breathable, and my new go-to short! The adjustable drawstring and thick band help me feel secure during training, while the light-weight fabric allows me to move easily. I love these shorts for cross-training, lifting, lounging, and sleeping. The small side zip pouch is great to secure a set of keys for a quick errand or walk. I am 5'10" and in my 30's, so the rise (just to my belly button) and length are exactly what I look for, which is often difficult at my height. As someone in the thick thighs club, unfortunately running in shorts is off the table, these shorts included. These shorts did ride up on the inner thigh pretty quickly for me when running and hiking (however, this is a problem I encounter with all running shorts - not just these). That aside, these are some of the best-fitting athletic shorts I've worn in a while!

I love these shorts. They are a bit big as Ive lost a significant amount of weight postpartumI had anticipated my pre pregnancy weight for sizing. The fabric is very comfortable and soft. I love that they are not super short. They are very flowing when moving around as well. Overall theyre great! Im 54 and about 130lbs. If I were to get again I would order a medium instead of a large.

I normally wear size 4-6 in pants and M in leggings, and size small fit me perfectly. The waist is mid-rise, high enough to be flattering for my post-partum body. The shorts have a drawstring, but they fit me just fine without using it. I wore it with black leggings underneath, and the lining is substantial enough that you couldn't see the black underneath. When I wore it without the leggings, the lining didn't ride up and stayed comfortably in place throughout my run. The fabric is breathable, lightweight, and quiet (I can't stand annoying swishing noises on long runs). The side pocket has a metal zipper that feels high quality. The pocket is a substantial size. To give an idea of dimensions, I was able to fit four earbud cases in it. The back pocket is not zippered, but the waistband is tight and the pocket itself is wider than the opening, so if the item you store in the pocket is wider than the opening then it's unlikely to fall out. The biggest downside for me was the size of the back pocket. My phone is 6.25" x 3.25" and it was too big to fit into the pocket. I tested a smaller phone (5.25" x 3") and that one fit well. The shorts are snug enough that the phone didn't bounce at all while I ran. Overall, the shorts are breathable and thoughtfully designed, and would be my go-to for long runs if my phone fit in the pocket.

Great concept, but falls short in delivery. I used these shorts while training on a treadmill. As someone whose inner thighs chafe, it did not provide the inner coverage needed to prevent chafing making it difficult for me to even a run a mile comfortably. Definitely a built in inner spandex lining would be ideal for this issue. However, I do like how comfortable and lightweight it is! But it is a little too light weight, as the pockets couldnt hold much weight. Therefore, my small items in my pockets were drooping and weighed me down more. Overall the fit of the shorts is slightly on the large side. I still do use the shorts often, for yoga and other cardio workouts! Just not running

I love how bright colored the Womens Chaser 5" Short 2.0 is. It helps me stay more visible when it starts getting dark. The shorts fitted just right. It is very light weight and breathable. I like that it has a pocket at the center in the back although it would have been great if it could close so I could put me key in there without worrying about it falling out. I like the style in general, not tight but flowy. It is almost like a skorts. The fabric stays dry and holds well when washed. It is definitely one of my favorite shorts.

These shorts are phenomenal. The bright salmon color of these is so eye-catching, particularly in the mornings when it's hard to get going, and helps me to feel a little bit more 'seen' on the roads. Additionally, they have hidden zippers on the pockets! The fabric rests against the legs without riding up and is a very comfortable light weight fit. With winter leggings they can be a bit snug so I would recommend sizing up for the current cold front. But, when worn without, they fit very nicely. Overall, I love these shorts. They're in my new permanent rotation. The only thing I would change is some of the elastic on the hips and thighs. In the warmer months, these will be every day running shorts. But, with leggings, I feel I want to size up.
