These boots are super cute (I have the green color) and do their job well - my feet stay warm and dry. My only issue is that it is extremely narrow in the footbed. I assume this is to compensate for the roomy heel/to aide in keeping the shoe from slipping off, but if you have calluses or wide feet, or just don't like the feeling of your toes all pressed together, I might think of another option. I don't recommend sizing up, as this would make the shoe too loose to stay on your foot given the spacious heel. Just something to think about.

I can say one thing for Hunter shoes, they speak for quality and comfort. I couldnt experience that with Askern waterproof boots, because misleaded by a review I bought my true size insead cheking my rain boots. So Im sad they are way too big for me - have to return. I tried them with bigger alpaca socks, but my hil was still coming up. By the way the lining is so soft, warm and cozy if it was me I would worn them bare foot, otherwise I personally will be to warm. The sole is thick and you feel stable on your feet. I definitely think they will be great for snow. And I love the color combination. And the packaging is so great, you almost dont want to take them out of the box. Remember size down. I do recommend this particular pair of shoes! Highly recommend Hunter!
