Customer Reviews SOREL Rein CB™ Crisscross Sandals

Honestly, after wearing Sorel sandals for several years (in a variety of styles), I hesitated in purchasing this pair of crisscross leather sandals because reviews seemed very mixed. But, I thought the Chalk White/Utility Green was a cute and unusual color combination, and the worst that could happen is that I'd have to return them. HOLY COW! I just spent the past three weeks traveling in three different time zones and summer climates (from the Sierras to the Gulf Coast to the Piedmont of North Carolina), and these were my absolute "go-to" pair. Walked everywhere (also regularly stood in long lines), had great traction (the solid but still flexible footbed is less heavy than Doc Martens), never worried about any rain or puddles (splashes wiped clean off)—these are awesome! Ordered my usual size 11, perfect fit, and no heel slippage, especially with the adjustable velcro backstrap. Also, incredibly, no blisters—although, when I realized I'd be keeping them, I first warmed them up in the sun and then wore them with thick socks for an afternoon to help mold the leather to my feet and remove their "new shoe" stiffness. Three weeks of daily wear, and they still look like new.

these shoes were a whole size too big. I disagree with the reviewers who said they looked cheap and were too stiff. I would re-order in a smaller size if the footbed were squishier.

Yikes. Large for the size. Heavy and clunky for the style. Looks like fake cheap leather. A big no.

Good quality and Very comfortable! I ordered a 6 but it was tight ( i usually wear 6). Then i ordered 6.5 which fits perfectly.

I love this sandals and am about to order in another color. They are a classic and flattering look, they feel wonderful, and I receive frequent complements. As to the complaint about stiffness, yes the leather is stiffer than many sandals. That's why they have held up well after many miles of walking and still look nearly new. I don't find the leather cheap looking at all and expect it will soften with age.

It's really good quality and comfortable except it is a little tight and low on the front part that my feet had a little trouble sliding in further to the front.

The leather is really stiff and hard which made it uncomfortable.

These shoes are very cute. But, they were very uncomfortable. The size was correct. However, the straps rubbed on my ankle with each step.

I thought they were interesting and might be good for real walking. I was tentative about synthetic foot bed. Really nixed them when I tried them on. Was hoping for support I got with my Sorel winter boots but not at all. I decided they looked really ugly in my foot.

These look so much better online and are not at all cute in person. The brown leather is an awful color. Also, they run a half size large. I wear a 7 and it was too long, width seemed fine. I had to give comfort stars for the review but didn't wear them to know.
