I ordered this same shoe/model in a different color. It was narrower than the last years model. It took some time to stretch it out, otherwise a great shoe.

Returning these right now. I do not understand why Brooks discontinued one fantastic sneaker to replace it with this horrible version. I can't wear these at all because the padding on the heel actually does what it's supposed to prevent, skinning my back heel bone. It is so bad that it wore a hole through the same area on both socks. Terrible design. So disappointed with these. Back I go to try and find a replacement for the discontinued version I loved.

I've been wearing Brooks Glycerin for 10+ years and these are the worst yet to the point of being unwearable. Toe box is too narrow and they changed lacing from 6 to 5 eyes so now the way the laces cross my feet cause them to go numb. When I loosen the laces or skip an eye, I get blisters on the inside of my heels. They're unwearable as my feet are either numb or I get blisters.

My one complaint about these shoes, is that the tongue is narrow which means you can see your feet once you lace up your shoes. That may not be a big deal to some, but it makes me feel like the shoe was poorly designed. All my other athletic shoes tongues fully cover the area that they should. This does not.
Will not buy Brooks again.

I needed a shoe for my overpronation. But for some reason these made my foot, knee and hip hurt the rest of the day after running even 1 mile.

These shoes are super comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis so I'm super particular about my shoes. These fit the bill. I just wish I hadn't got the white ones because even though I sprayed them with Scotchguard, I can't keep them clean.

Very good quality shoe. Plenty of cushion for impact. I love this shoe because its not big and bulky. Upon reading other reviews, most said they were true to size which doesnt seem to be the case. May want to size up. I normally wear 8.5 but they are snug in the toe box. In the future Ill probably go with a size 9. Other than that this shoe delivers performance!

I have been wearing Brooks shoes for 15 years, when I developed Plantar fasciitis it was suggested that I move up in shoe from my tried and true Adrenaline GTS, talking with Brooks support and getting suggestions the Glycerin 22 was suggested, they were to have more cushioning. These simply werent for me. I can't wait to take them off when I get home. I'm sure this is a great model for others but just not for me. I truly hope that Brooks goes back to the Adrenaline GTS 23 model, it was the best.

Size up especially if you have wide feet. Best running shoe on the market in my opinion.

I always wear women's 7.5. The toe box on this shoe runs small, so my toes are at the end of the shoe. Not ideal, but if I go up a size it doesn't fit in the heel, so I'll wear the shoe with lightweight socks. All-in-all, with one foot 1/2 size larger than the other and with narrow heels, this is a great shoe with ample support. I use them for everything, walking hiking on the trails, day to day. They get a lot of miles!
I'd also recommend:
La Sportiva and Oboes, both for hiking

I switched from another brand because the Glycerin GTS 22 has a wider toe box, which is what I needed. I ordered the regular width which had more room than the other brand's wide fit. I love these shoes, they are so comfortable and have lots of cushioning.

I wore Glycerins for years until Brooks stopped making them in narrows and then I switched to the Ghosts. Now that the Ghost 17s are a quirky fit, I decided to give the Glycerins a go again. They really run on the short side but when I tried going up half a size they were too large so I’m slowly breaking in the Iris Blue pair I got. They’re very bouncy and cushioned. Almost a bit too much but with my custom orthotics they offer adequate support. They fit the shape of my feet perfectly which is far more than I can say for most athletic shoe brands I’ve been trying on to replace the Ghosts. The blue ones in medium are the same width as my Ghost narrows so beware. They’re great for me but for someone expecting a true medium they probably will be to narrow. I also ordered a pair of Glycerin 22’s in white in the same size and width and they’re huge on me. I don’t understand why the price of athletic shoes keep going up but the quality and fit don’t match.

Why can't we have wide in the fun colors? I'm not overweight but I still need a wide in this shoe because they run narrow. But the wide colors are limited to the less than exciting. I really wanted the bright blue and the gray. Had to settle for the purple/navy and the black/white. Sigh. However, these are great shoes. The only shoes I can wear for any length of time, and I wear them all day long, all year round. So thank you, Brooks, for allowing me to walk around.
