the shoe i received was marked size ordered, but, was clearly wrong size. it did not feel like a medium running narrow, my toed could not even get into toe box. this could be a simple one time mistake at factory labelling, however i have ordered three Trotter brand shoes recently, all were defective.

I bought a 9W the first time (Trotters) and they were so big I ordered a 9 M. I could barely get my foot in. I chose to go to another brand in a 3rd size

I returned these because they were not a true wide shoe. Sorry Trotters. I guess I'll keep looking. Thanks Zappos.

The shoes are stylish, but they are not what they used to be. This is the third time I order this pair of shoes. I loved the previous two pairs, and received a lot of compliments. Now the quality has dropped dramatically. The black leather shoes aren't even black. They look almost navy blue. The leather is not shiny, it is opaque and not as soft. Also, they are not as comfortable as they used to be. I sent them back.

I wore this shoes once for the day and it becomes very sloppy. I was not able to return. Most likely will not by shoes from them again!

Great shoe, comfortable, good solid work shoe, LOVE it, but the heel caps have fallen out twice in less than a month. I shouldn't be having to repair brand new shoes. :(

Sorry, they just do not fit--too tight and uncomfortable.

I was shocked at how short and tight these shoes are in the toes. I'm a straight-up 7N and I could barely squeeze my toes in. I almost wondered if the shoes were mis-sized.

I was very hopeful that these shoes would be a good option for business dress, however they absolutely killed my feet. Blisters, bandaids, pressure in the wrong places and I was a mess. I did wear this at home for hours and days before I attempted to wear to a work function, and they seemed fine, but in the real world, they squeezed my toes and rubbed them raw. I don't recommend Trotters shoes.

So uncomfortable...and I wore them for the day so I have to keep them. Tight toe box and they run small...I had a huge blister by the end of the day.

I have navy Trotters Doris that were made in Brazil and they felt wonderful from the first day I put them on. These are too tight in the toe area and too stiff. They are not made in Brazil.

I have worn Trotters for years because they fit well and are usually very comfortable. However, I recently purchased another pair of navy "Doris" and they did not fit the same as before. One shoe was alright, but the other was so wide that it gaped all the way down the inside of my right foot. The quality did not appear to be nearly as nice as my other Trotters. In the past, their sizing and quality were consistent, but now they appear to have serious quality control issues. The shoes were made in China so I suspect this is a major reason for the overall decline. Too bad because Trotters always made good quality comfortable shoes in the past.

These shoes had no structure, and rippled around my feet.

Wildly inconsistent sizing I so wanted to have this shoe! I just don't think it's going to happen. I ordered the mocha in a size 10.5 medium. These should have fit me like a dream. Alas, the shoe was tight. Very tight. I thought that perhaps I was sent a Narrow instead of a Medium, but the shoe was indeed a 10.5 Medium. I then ordered the size 11, same color, half a size up, same width. They arrived today and I am SWIMMING in them! They are WAY longer and WAY wider than the first pair I ordered. They are also a few shades of brown lighter. I loved the color of the first shoe, which was a very deep, rich brown. There is no way a half size up in the same width should have this much discrepancy. I'm so disappointed as they will both have to be returned. Thank goodness Zappos makes returns easy, but the sizing (and color) issue of this shoe is really galling.
