I love these boots! They fit my feet and calves perfectly. I dont understand why some reviews claim they arent true wide-calf boots. I own multiple pairs of Penny boots (in black and neutral) as well as the Elia Wide Calf Knee High Boot (snake print), and all fit my calves wonderfully. While I might be able to wear them with skinny jeans or pants, Ive only styled them with tights or bare-legged so far. My calves have always been athletic, going from 17.5 inches to 16.5 inches, and finding wide-calf boots that dont leave excess material pooling around my small ankles has been a challenge for years. Sam Edelman is the only brand Ive found that not only looks great but also fits my muscular calves perfectly!

I first ordered the wide calf and wow, wide! I returned and ordered these and they are more slouchy than the photos look, which is fine. Soft suede, I can see where some reviews said they expected thicker material. However, I like these. I think they look a little more western than I expected with the toe coloring. I sized up half a size and they are roomy and comfortable. The heel height and my foot shape put a bit of pressure on the metatarsal area. I wish they had a bit more cushioning, but I will try to figure out how to add.

Short girl approved. Im 52 and calves measure 13 came right under knees. Bought the suede and soft but sturdy enough to stay up. Normally buy size 6 and they are perfect. I have plenty of room for jeans to fit inside and soft enough to not wear socks.

Extremely disappointed. These are not true wide calf boots. I have 2 pairs of the Pennys that fit amazingly. These look so squished and horrible. The zipper placement is also awkwardly in the middle of the side of the boot. All around disappointing.

I bought these spur of the moment on a whim. I'm so excited to wear them. They are wide calf so i can wear them over jeans and not be uncomfortable. Very excited to wear them.

I adore these boots! I have been searching high and low for a pair of comfortable, well made tall boots that have a heel height of under 3" that are timeless. I am 5'8" and the shaft is the perfect height for me. My calves are just under 14" and don't feel constricted in these boots, even when paired with straight leg jeans. Only note is I did have to go down half a size for them to fit, which is something I rarely ever have to do with any shoes.

I just bought these boot. The leather is soft, yet the boot has nice structure. I have thin calves and these are perfect. I have a 13 circumference. I would say if you have a calf that is 15 or more a wide calf might be the way to go. I am usually a size 10 and bought a 9.5 in these. Love them. Heel is perfect.

I love these. I got a wide calf just for some extra room and they fit amazing and are beautiful quality. Not too high of a heel like the Sylvia, but still a little height so it elevates the look! Love!! Not sure why theres negative reviews tbh

Bought the black regular calf leather boots last week online, they arrived within 3 days! absolutely LOVE the boots, very comfy & chic!! Fit great/true to size!

I purchased these at Nordstrom tonight . It looks even nicer in person. I have tiny calves and these fit beautifully. I have no idea why other reviews are negative , they must have purchased the wide calf version .

I bought these hoping that theyd fit. They dont. They got stuck halfway up my calf and wouldnt budge. For reference, my wide calf boots usually have a shaft circumference of 16. Those all fit fine. These are for people with slightly larger than average calves. The quality of them are great, but theyre not wide calf.

As a 5"3, 145 lb, 15" calf girl, I LOVE these boots. They fit great right below the knee, feel stable when walking, and look hot. PLEASE Sam Edelman, make pairs that in a saddle tan and chestnut brown leather! These would become staples in your collection. I'll be your first buyer!!

I would have been able to overlook the cheap quality material of these boots, but they are MASSIVE around my calves. If you have thin to average sized calves, these wont fit.

Disappointed with the quality. Looked a lot more sturdy in the photos. The suede is really thin and looks kind of slouchy when worn. They had a strong glue odor and upon further inspection noticed the insole for one of them wasnt glued properly! For a $200 shoe, you shouldnt have poor craftsmanship like this. First Sam Edelman order Im returning due to poor quality. Was a big fan and overall really sad to see this decline in quality, hope it was just a one off.
