I'm normally between a 7 and 7.5 boot. I kept the 7.5 so I could wear thicker socks for fall/winter. Love the style of this boot. It's not as light as I expected (per the weight listed) but definitely lighter than most boots with this lug sole (ie. Doc Martens and others) and leather. I am taking these to Europe for 2 weeks after purchasing no less than 10 other boots. About half of my purchases were this style of combat looking boots and other half Chelsea style. I eventually moved to this style because it hugs my ankles (no heel slippage) because of the adjustable laces. The best part of these boots besides the awesome cushioning is the zipper. Easy in and out of these boots. I also bought some Johnston & Murphy lace ups with zipper, but they squeaked very loudly with the leather tongue on the laces. These do not. I also love the style. Not as plain as other combat boots. They are also all black leather, so I feel they can be dressed up a bit or dressed down. Other boots I ordered had a brown trim at the top of the lug sole which made them look a bit casual. I need these boots to be everything for me...from days walking around to dinners at night because of limited packing space. I ordered many other brands but chose these as the best! I returned Dolce Vita, Born, Johnston & Murphy, Cole Haas and more.

These boots are beautiful, but very uncomfortable. Took me forever to put them on. The side zipper doesn't open shoe wide enough, i had to completely untie it to get my foot in. Returning.

These boots are great. Comfortable to walk in and look super cute with tights or jeans and can be dressed up or down. I plan to wear them to a Red Rocks Concert next week so that should tell you how comfortable they are.

The boots are incredibly comfortable, providing great support and cushioning for long wear. However, the laces keep coming undone, which can be frustrating. I've had to double knot them constantly to keep them secure. If the laces were improved, these would be perfect!

This boot was returned on January 28 2025 via Sam Edelman shipping label. I have heard nothing and have not received my refund. So I will never order anything from Sam Edelman ever again and you can bet I will be sharing my most disappointing Sam Edelman experience with everyone I know on line.

These boots are top quality, they run about a half size big in my opinion. Very comfortable and versatile.

I first saw these boots on my 30-something niece at Christmas, and I just loved them. Combat-style, but more refined. Being in my late 60s, I typically shy away from overly clunky heels, but this boot had such nice proportions. Anyway, I bought a pair in my usual size 10. Perfect fit! Good looking boot. Beautifully made. I highly recommend the Elliot Combat.

These boots look amazing and gorgeous but they have this annoying part in the heel that’s really stiff and uncomfortable when I walk! It makes them unwearable, such a shame
