Very elegant casual loafer. Comfortable with or without sox.

The shoe literally feels like a slipper! One of the most comfortable leather shoes that I've ever worn. Looks great too!

The Santiago is an extremely comfortable shoe, especially due to the cushioning of the footbed. It's pretty light for an AE shoe yet feels substantial enough to wear for most purposes. Leather looks great and the brown color is perfect - not too dark and not too light, Feels like a good quality shoe all around. Can wear with no socks. Very nice sole, and I dig the little logo tag that comes off the driver portion of the right shoe.

Happy, for the most part, with these shoes. I chose these as a substitute for household slippers, because the traditional household slippers that I wanted were not available in my size (and possibly discontinued). My negative comment is that the one piece heel & sole that is glued to the bottom of the shoe is slightly indented from the heel of the shoe, giving the heel of my foot a slightly uneven surface to step on. On a positive note, they are attractive on the foot and have a flattering slim appearance.

The shoe for some reason runs small in the width. I have purchased many pairs AE and this is the first time I have to state the width on the Santiago Driver Loafer runs small. I have another pair or two of the same style in different colors. They fit just fine.

The shoe is extremely difficult to put on your foot. There is no elastic that allows easy foot entry. Shoe is great quality overall, but i will be returning.

I ordered these loafers from the website and when I took them out of the box I immediately noticed that the construction was awful. I'm not even a shoe guy and I could tell that they weren't done correctly. I've been a loyal AE customer since I started working and I'm very disappointed. I tried them on and they fit fine, but the absolutely shoddy construction made me put them right back in the box to be returned.
