Wearing Sketchers for 3 decades, since my childhood, it has always been a brand that I could rely on for consistency, comfort, quality Until I purchased the BOBS Sport B Flex Hi - Flying HI. I thought I would 'treat myself' with the birthday promo & ordered up these They aren't worth their marketed value nor were they worth the member discount I wasted on them
I thought I would appreciate the standard breathable, washable material we've all come to love about Skechers, but something about the material these are made of attracts dirt like packing tape. The first thing I do, prior to wearing any shoe, is treat it with stain/water resistance, which always helps my shoes last longer and when they do get dirty, clean easily, leaving little to no stains behind. If I hadn't treated these, I would have wiped them down and sent them back after my first wear the experience has been so terrible.
My initial wear, I wore them out to the store so from my the inside of my home to my garage to my car to the store parking lot/in-store, back thru parking lot, into car, from garage to inside my home both sides of the shoes were black like I had rubbed & kicked tar, when only the soles of my shoes made real contact with anything, the ground which was very interesting, because the soles of the shoes were somehow less visibly dirty than the sides. The carpeting a flooring in my vehicle isn't soiled because it's only a few months old, so that wasn't the issue. (I was seriously going over everything near my feet for the hours I wore them that 1st day because this makes no sense.) I've been wearing similar white trainers from another major brand doing way more activity than leisurely shopping and haven't collected anywhere near as much dirt in 5 wears, let alone 1.
Aside from getting dirty after moments of wear despite being pretreated, I feel there is some break-in that needs to happen. The slightly elevated heel of the shoe is noticeable & may require some getting used to to prevent sliding forward of the foot. My foot is on the narrow side, and even with the strings snug, when walking my foot glides around in the shoe. Also, i feel it runs 1/2 a size larger than normal (which i actually already sized down 1/2 a size after reading the description of the material to take into account stretching over time combined with my experience wearing certain sketchers in the past). So coupled with the wider than usual fit and we elevated heel, it's not comfortable.
Overall, the BOBS Sport B Flex Hi - Flying HI is NOT the best pick for anyone with narrow, smaller feet because the material stretches NOR is it the best choice for anyone who isn't able to devote time to cleaning them after every single, no matter how light, wear.
These will more than likely end up as a last resort pair that I'll throw on in haste after cleaning another tennis shoe I haven't relaced it yet and in a mad dash to leave the house become struck with their lack of comfort, suddenly remembering why I don't wear them anymore.

This shoe wouldn't fit on my right foot at all. My foot doesn't appear swollen, do I don't know what the problem was
