These are beautiful and very light, however, if you step in a puddle your feet will be soaked due to the holes (ventilation) in the bottom. The only way to prevent would be to caulk the area. For the priceno thank you. Returned

I became a big fan of Johnston & Murphy after buying a pair of McGuffeys. This XC4 is my 9th set of J&M shoes. The quality of materials, design, craftsmanship and fit is why Im a fan. What I really like about this latest pair is the spongy, soft quality of the soles. These are the level of comfort I felt wearing running shoes without sacrificing design of dress footwear. Im sure Ill end up with a pair in every color.

I purchased these shoes just four months ago, expecting them to last. Unfortunately, the quality is disappointing. Ive only worn them a handful of times, and the bottom is coming loose. For the price, I expected much better durability. Save your money and invest in something more reliable.

The original Prentiss was one of my favorite pairs of J&M. They were the perfect fall/winter sneakers. Would always wear them to my kids soccer games and they always kept my feet dry when the field was soggy. I completely wore mine out and had demoted them to backyard muddy day shoes. When I saw the 2.0 version, I immediately ordered a new pair. The 2.0s have very subtle updates that make them look more modern. I had to compare them side by side to notice. Biggest positive improvement was eliminating the pull tab. Those tend to catch you pants so Im glad theyre gone. They still are as comfortable as the old ones and I love the darker shade of blue. Thanks for bringing them back!!!!!!!

Very nice update to the Prentiss. Sizing and design is good. Its good without the loop in the back because it doesn't need to get pulled to get your foot in. as the sock design is updated I've used the original for years and was upset to see it discontinued. I'm going to buy a few in order make sure not to run out of them again.

Look nice but rigid sole. Like walking on wood planks. Disappointing. Uncomfortable. Returning.
