I love how Mizunos fit in general. These look great and one foot is very comfortable. Unfortunately, my big toe is rubbing on the other. I ordered the same size and style as before but I think this newer model is slightly shorter. Keep that in mind when you order.

Toe box was too tight. Ordered regular size and they were just too tight. Ordered 1/2 size larger and they also felt tight in the toe box. Decided this wasn't the brand for me.

Very comfortable except for around the top of the shoe. It is very rigid and rubs my ankles. It seems like the shoe is too tall in this area.

Toe box is narrower than in previous version. I got blisters after walking (not even running) for about an hour.

The shoes did not fit well and the company was difficult to work with. The return shipping cost was exorbitant!

I ordered the same model I always do in the same size (Wave Rider, women's 11) and what arrived was at least a size smaller than what the label showed. I sent pictures to customer service immediately and never heard back so I called the customer service number. Based on Mizuno return policy, I had to pay for my own return even though the size was clearly wrong, which I was not at fault for.

I've been wearing the Wave Rider-in the exact same size-for about 15 years now. I bought this edition when my last pair died, and I don't know what's changed but these shoes are awful. My foot immediately slides forward when I take a stride, my toes are smashed up against the shoe and my pinky toes are squished against the side. I can't even WALK in these for miles comfortably-forget wearing them to train for my next half. I can't return them now-I kept them hoping maybe they just needed to be broken in-but they're horrible. 0/10 recommend.

So much smaller than last several pairs of Mizuno Wave Riders, assume it must have been mislabeled.

I have been a customer for years but no more. This wave rider 28 is the worst shoe I have ever purchased in my life. Not only is it half a size too small (crushing my toes) but it tilts way inward. My ankles and arches are killing me and I'm risking injury. Combine that with atrocious customer service, terrible rewards for long-standing customers, and the fact thy can't just leave well enough alone (every new model is different) and I'm no longr advocating for this brand. I used to proudly say, "I only wear Mizunos." I will never say that again. My new mantra will be, "Run as fast as you can away from this brandand in another brand's shoes!" Don't b loyal to this brand. They are not loyal to you. And their product is getting worse.

I have been running in Mizuno Wave Riders for close to 17 years and have always loved them. Unfortunately, Mizuno completely changed the sizing of the Mizuno Wave Rider 28, and it is significantly shorter than previous versions. After one wear I quickly realized that the size I've always worn is too small. Sadly, Mizuno's only response to my complaint was to give me 10% off purchasing a different pair, or mailing back the shoes at my own expense for them to take a look. I'm so disappointed in the faulty sizing of this shoe and even more disappointed in how poor Mizuno's customer service has been. After so many years of being a devoted customer, I will no longer be wearing Mizunos. :(

This shoe runs significantly smaller than any other Mizuno shoe I've ever bought. Order up at least half size and the toe box seems more narrow too.

I have been buying Mizuno Running shoes since getting fitted back in 2012. This is the first pair that did not fit in my shoe size 8-1/2. It's not the width--it's the length. In my 27's I have a little room to spare. My foot just fit into this shoe. Also, they do not feel the same as previous versions. Sad to say my love affair with Mizuno has come to an end :( I would only recommend purchasing this product if you can try it on but since they're onto the 29s, good luck finding them in a store.

This is the worst sneaker I have purchased in years. I have been a fitness professional for over 40 years, and have worn many different brands over my career. These Mizunos are not built to last, and are missing standard features. The soles are broken down and rolling inward already, forcing a pronation. I do not wear them outdoors, nor everyday. Stay away from this one.

I've been wearing wave riders for over 10 years and the 28s absolutely hurt my feet. The balls of my feet were in pain during and after my walk. I looked at the soles of my 27s vs 28s and could clearly see why the new design destroyed my feet. This is so disappointing. Now I have to find another shoe.

I had to return them. My toes were brushing against the front of the shoes. I received to other models of running shoes that dayand they happily are true to size.

I've purchased a few Mizuno Wave Riders in the past in my normal size (8.5) and never had an issue. I'm now postpartum and my shoe size has changed slightly. I've been wearing an 8.5 in ASICS and since this is now running a little small, I presumed that if I went up to a 9 in the Wave Rider (which I've generally preferred over ASICS & always wore an 8.5), it would fit my slightly larger postpartum feet perfectly. Unfortunately the 9 fits like an 8.5.

I have been running in Mizuno Wave Riders for nearly 20 years. Something significantly changed with the 28s--not the same shoe and fit.
