Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I love the MT Hardwear Dynama Ankle Pants! Great for travel, for the office, for lounging. The go any where pant. Light weight and breathable. I bought this pant in grey, black and green. The only reason I gave an overall less than five star is because of a manufacturing flaw in the green pant. The green pant had a seam flaw and the left leg was twisted and awkward in the seat. I returned it and tried another. Same issue. I returned that and now there are none left in my size! So disappointing as I really love the sage green color and I love the pant. I am hoping that MT Hardware will offer these again and that they will correct factory pattern issue where the green pants are made.

These are nicely designed pants, but I prefer the Dynama II capris. I didn't like the long version bc the synthetic material felt too thin on my legs, whereas the capris don't cover my lower legs. I also don't like that the color changed from a charcoal-blue to a dark navy, both called dark zinc.

I was given a pair of the original Dynama pants from a friend that I absolutely love. They had a tight, legging like ankle/calf area (with the same stretchy, wicking material). I decided to order two pairs of the Dynama 2. For the most part the pants are very similar. Very comfortable and cooling for the summer and I really like the elastic waist and that it is true mid rise for my short waist. I am 5'6 and the length is ok (slightly above the ankle) but they widened the ankle so much that it just ends up looking like a frumpy, dumpy pair of pants (very aging!). I have worn the Dynama 1 to a dance party, out to dinner, and hiking and it looks cute. Too bad they no longer sell that version and completely changed the design to accommodate a geriatric customer. I will keep but will only wear to go hiking/birding when I don't care about looking 20 years older than my age. I weigh 145 with straight hips/waist and the M fit perfectly.

the belt is uncomfortable ( the elastic is thinner than the pair I already have and I love).

These pants are so amazing. I love wearing them and they don't tear, so breathable and cute. Flattering fit. BUT I had to CUT in my own drawstring. The waistband stretches too much during activities and if you put anything in your pocket(even just your phone, around town) they fall down. They would fall down constantly while r mtn biking even if I tucked my shirt in. I had to make a drawstring.
Why doesn't MH put more drawstring in their "athletic" "outdoorsy" pants..???

I love the tapered ankle for a hiking pant but the seat area was MUCH roomier than the pant (bootcut) version. I ended up with the latter and hand-sewing the leg to be a skinny leg instead. Not sure what they were thinking with this weird fly/crotch sewing execution. Maybe they should've named it relaxed cut or something. I really hope they make a skinny version of the pant. I'd rather find yoga leggings with side thigh pockets to hike in than bootcut but it's nice to have this material since it's water resistant-ish and relatively scratch resistant. I have to baby my yoga leggings while hiking through brush.

It is so hard to find an outdoor pant that doesn't have a baggy flare bottom so I was excited to see these! The sizing for me is a bit off though. The Extra-Small's waist was so tiny the elastic band wouldn't go over my hips. But the size Small was roomy in the waist and has SO much extra fabric in the hip area it looked like I had on jodphurs. The waist on the XS seemed almost like a defect since it was so drastic from the Small. That said, this will be an awesome pant if you find a size that fits you.

Love several things about these pants. Great color, easy to pull on, love the zipped pocket that is big enough for my iPhone. Major drawback, however, is that the ankle length rides up practically to my knee after the slightest movement. So, OK for beach walks!

I bough three pairs of these pants, I wore them not even on a real hike but just to walk from my car to a river bed and sat in the gravel at a fire. By the time I got back to my car just passing bushes had caused all kinds of snags all over the legs and the butt had little snags and was all fuzzy from sitting on river rocks. First wash the logo peeled off and now there are sticky letters smeared all over the waist band. These are great if you have an office job or non physical job and want to be comfortable. Only useful application

I bought these pants in black and I love the fit for my body type. I'm 5"2 and 123 pounds but I do have bigger thighs and they're perfect in that respect. I do climb and to be honest the material started fraying and pulling after the first use. I wish they made the same pant in a cotton weave to avoid such quick wear.

These pants are ridiculously comfortable, and would 100% be a keeper IF they didn’t give you an instant camel toe where there wasn’t one before. The way the crotch is constructed gives you some extra features, no matter what you do. Too bad, because otherwise, the fit and fabric are awesome.

I really wanted to love these but they are going back. These have good stretch & are fairly comfortable but are an odd fit because there was so much extra fabric bagging around the lower abdomen/upper thighs while being snug on the rest of my legs. Even the black couldn’t camouflage the poofy crotch situation.

These were very disappointing- while I like the pockets the fit compared to the original version the fit is off. I can't tell if it's just the fabric because that was my main issue. They feel very cheap: sticky, the fabric sticks to its self and snags on my hands. There is zero structure or or weight to the fabric. I'm am planning to return.

Loved these, but not for tall people. I am 5'9" and although I love the fit and material of several Mountain Hardware pants, I've had to return them all because they are comically short. Please make pants for taller women!

I'm really perplexed. I bought another of these pants two weeks before from another retailer and ADORED them, but I wanted them in black, too, so I ordered them here. I wish I had paid closer attention, however, because these pants are very different. The crotch "poofs" in this version and there is a bizarre pleat that makes it look like you're hiding some male anatomy while also creating said "poof." My other pair has no pleat. This version is also way too tight in the calves and the fabric is thicker and rougher overall. I don't know which version I have is the most current one, but this one is dreadful. Of course, I ripped the tags off immediately, so I can't return these. The horrible pleat situation is visible on the model upon closer inspection. I'm most upset with myself as these trousers are going to the Good Will or trash immediately. Horrible unflattering pants.
