These boots are beautiful, and I love them. The quality, the color, the softness of the leather. Sadly, they are too big for me; too wide and when I walk they slip (even with thick socks.)

Overall I really love these boots! The toe box is slightly narrower and more stiff than I appreciate for having bunions. I ordered 1 size smaller than normal and they fit pretty good and feel comfortable overall. Definitely feel like they’ll have a breaking-in period - first time I wore them out my feet were hurting, second time wasn’t so bad. The unbound leather is soft and they look stylish with almost everything! The pros outweigh the cons; I’m going to keep them.

Bought these as a present for my spouse. He loves them, says they are comfortable, and they look great on him! Highly recommend!

I have been wearing Dr. Martens for many years. These are no different. A little snug around toe box when new, but stretch enough as they get broken in. I like the look and feel of unbounded leather. Very soft and pliable. Not sure how they will hold up but time will tell. Look great with jeans. My new "every day" shoe.

I have this same model in “Biscuit Leather,” and the fit is fine. However, this version is extremely loose - more like wearing galoshes than the typical DMs. Hopefully, it will work better in cold weather with an extra-thick sock.

I still recommend DMs, but not this particular version.

I had thought about getting some Dr. Martens for some time--mainly for the comfort when walking and high quality leather. But these are my first and last pair of DMs. Though the quality of the leather is great (soft and supple) and the boots are very comfortable for walking and safe from slipping (due to the thick grippy sole), as many other reviewers have noted (for this and other DM shoes/boots), they are just TOO BIG! I wear a 10.5M and sized down to a 10M, but still, too much room at the toes, mainly because these boots are so wide. Not an M at all, more of a W, all round. The fact that DM doesn't make half sizes and makes their shoes too wide (even when customers routinely complain about these issues) are deal breakers for me. I guess DM's idea is for customers to wear thick socks or double socks or have to modify the inside of the boot with heel inserts. No thank you. I want to slip on my shoes/boots, as is, without making modifications because the shoe company refuses to be more thoughtful towards its customers. Just with this one boot, 50% of reviewers say it's too big/wide, but I guess DM feels it can keep truckin' along due to it's reputation. But I am not impressed. That's why these are my first and last pair of DMs.
