I know that patent leather can be stiff and unforgiving, so I ordered this in suede, thinking it would be softer. No. The heel is very high, and the toe area is very cramped. Not comfortable at all. It felt 1/2 size shorter than marked.

Beautiful shoe, but not so comfortable...
I just received the Bronze Patent leather... ladies, this is a gorgeous shoe in person!!! I have numerous AK shoes, but this one is just not as comfortable. I wear between a size 6 1/2 - 7 depending on the style and have a normal width foot. I ordered the 7 in this style just to be sure, but I can barely slip my entire foot into it. Not sure what the deal is with that, I have never had to wear a 7 1/2 before!
