I previously reviewed this shoe under the 6.5 size. I had to return it due to improper fit. Took my chances and ordered the 6.0. Unfortunately, I have to return also due to improper fit. Overall, the shoe is great quality and the foot bed really comfortable. The length is, for me true to size. The rest of the shoe, the whole that wraps around and surrounds my foot (sides/bottom/top) is a half size larger. This 6.0 fit my foot perfectly (the surround); except, the length was slightly too short. My big toe was right at the edge and as the leather is hard w/o give, wearing them would put too much pressure on my foot length-wise. I am a true 6.5/37 in length. I gave the 6.0 a try, because my foot was swimming in the surround of the 6.5, though the length felt fine. I will purchase a brand of shoe that I know fits my foot shape better. My foot is primarily skin, bone, and fascia w/o a lot of fatty tissue (lifelong running tends to decrease fat pockets around the body). This shoe seems to be designed for a full-bodied foot (if that makes sense), with tissue up top. -- Also, please note that the strap is velcro: not the best solution. The velcro is not equal in quality to the rest of the shoe; so, it will give out quickly. It seems, to me, a really bad design decision. A strap with loop closure would be much better for both fit and longevity.

Taos seems to run 1/2 size small for me. Even with the squared-off toe box, these are far too snug. I had Taos loafers that I loved in the past...Really hope Taos begins to make more business shoes that appeal to younger people who need good arch support. I dislike feeling like I'm surrendering my youth in exchange for arch support.

They fit great and thought they were super comfortable. Nothing felt tight or rubbing, wowever the first day I wore them the top of my toes were bleeding by lunch time at work. I guess you cannot return them after that but geez, really pricey for a 1/2 day wear

The shoe was great quality and comfort. Sadly, it felt way too wide & spacious for my foot and was potentially a little bit long. I order a 6.5 and 7.0. Only tried the 6.5. Returned both. Wondering if I will try a 6.0 or switch brands in hopes to find a shoe base that is not so wide. My forefoot was swimming in the cradle and the cross strap is actually velcro. Secured it as tight as possible; but, too much space in the shoe to fit.

If you have never tried Taos, please do! These shoes feel great! The double straps add sassy flair! The leather is supple and soft. I have flat feet, so the arch support helps immensely. I wish I had pairs in all colors!!!

Bought an 8 and loved the style. However they were too deep in the heel so I ordered 1/2 size up so I could add an insert in the heel to raise my foot above part that hit my ankle bone. Insert worked but the toe of this shoe is too shallow. Hit the top of my toes. Sadly returning. I wanted to love them. They are pretty.

Great arch support and the leather is soft and comfortable. It sort of molds itself to your foot

Loved the style and the size was right. Unfortunately, the right shoe hit my ankle bone and was uncomfortable.

Other reviewers say this shoe runs big and wide, but I disagree. It is true to size marked - and therefore too narrow for me. I wish this and other shoes were offered in a wide version.

When using the Velcro strap to fit the ankle, the other strap is sticking up off my foot by a good inch or more! I usually love Taos.

These could have been a great pair of casual shoes, but the minute I took them out of the box I knew that was not meant to be. First of all the leather is very stiff. Then when I put them on, they immediately rubbed against the top of my toes. Ouch!! Back they go!

This brand of shoe is excellent. Well made and uses good leather. But, this shoe runs a whole size too long in my opinion. I also have a wide foot due to bunions and the wide with was good for me. I would not discourage people from buying or trying this show but order a couple of sizes and see what fits for you. I am so confused these days with shoe fit as sizes don't seem to be standardized, and the size seems to change from year to year in the same manufacture. I am frustrated. I am so thankful for Zappos for their return policy. Thank you.

I was immediately excited when I pulled the shoes out of the box. They are a beautiful tan that should go with everything! I have occasional foot pain and the need for cushioning and some arch support, and these feel great. The arch support is not the highest, but I think they will be fine and I’m excited to finally have a flat style that should feel great and look stylish as well.

These shoes are beautiful and I tried them on at a store and thought I had the right fit. The shoes in the store fit perfectly. My feet are on the wide side, but many Taos shoes are wide enough for me. The shoes I ordered in my normal size 8 were too tight...maybe the ones in the store had been tried on and stretched enough to fit... sorry to return these, but am worried these will remain too tight

This is a very pretty shoe and seems well made. The fit was fine, until I walked in it, and discovered that it was rubbing uncomfortably against my ankle bone. That was that. A shame. Taos used to make a shoe called Balance with a small heel, which I love and still wear (though mine are getting a bit old). I wish that model was still available.

I didn't even try them on as it's obvious the toe bed is too narrow.
