I was hoping this shoe would be as comfortable as the Juxt but in a leather version. It is not comfortable and the tongue of the shoe creates a pressure point on the top of my foot because its to thick and bulky. Going back to the Juxt even though it breaks down within 6 months.

I usually wear a womens size 9W in Vasque, but I opted for the mens size 7W in the St. Elias since the womens version doesnt come in wide. They fit perfectly! Theres a bit of break-in time, maybe just a few miles, especially around the tongue, but once theyre molded to your feet, theyre really comfortableeven with thick socks. Im a fan of the Clay color; it has a timeless appeal. I do wish there was a heel tab for easier on-and-off, and it would also be handy for attaching a carabiner when I travel. Overall, these boots have quickly become a favorite for my outdoor adventures in colder temps!

I live and hike in S. California so waterproofing is not important to me. My feet get hot and typically waterproof boots exacerbate this problem. Try finding non-waterproof boots, it's difficult. I took a chance on these boots and they are wonderful. Took about 15 miles to break them in with some slight stiffness at around the ankle that quickly loosened up. These are real hiking boots with good support and traction. And they come in WIDE widths, thank you Vasque!!

Very happy with this purchase. Not as good as my original Vasque, but those are not available anymore.

These boots fit well and provide great ankle support. Nice color
