I honest-to-betsy have never seen shoes listed as 'great arch support' that actually had any real arch support. (I'm starting to think most of those claims are made by retailers with flat feet, who wouldn't know good arch support if it walked up and punched them in the stomach.) These shoes are like -- someone do the angelic chorus of aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! for me -- full support heaven. Ironically, that does make them feel a little smaller, but I think that's because when you support the foot fully, the high arch means the top of the foot is also being raised -- and the shoe design has to adjust to that. I think most folks might go for a bit-wider shoe, since the extra width can make for a little extra height if you need that room. That said, these *are* Skechers, and if you can bear with it for an hour or so of walking around the house, the shoes will relax and stretch into a very comfortable wear, and pretty quickly. So many other shoes I've had, that tightness never goes away, but like with the arch support promise on these, Skechers is still the exception that proves the rule.

SKECHERS, SPECIALLY THIS MODEL IS SOOOOO COMFORTABLE. BEAUTIFUL, STYLISH. I LOVE IT

The shoes fit fine, but after wearing them for a couple of months, both shoes have tears/holes by the toes. I only wear them to the store, so there is no way they should be worn already. I have never had this happen with a shoe before.
