I’m a big fan of Blundstones and have worn the original 510s for years, loving their comfort, durability, and quality. I really liked the slimmer profile and brogue detailing on these and decided to get a pair. These did require serious break-in time because the openings are incredibly tight and hurt my shins initially. My husband had to pull them off my feet the first time I tried them on, and I have slim ankles and calves. To solve this issue, I used two liter bottles of seltzer, one placed inside each boot, for 5 days straight to gently stretch the elastic. I also got a boot puller to help me get them off unaided. The 5 days of stretching did the trick- I could get them on more easily and wear them with no discomfort at all. They now fit like old friends. I will probably keep the seltzer bottles in for another few days to make sure that the adjustment is permanent. They look great. I’m a size 40 or a 9 in most boots and needed Australian size 6 in these, particularly since I like to wear thick wool socks for warmth. Love how grippy the soles are-ideal for winter weather conditions.

Sizing is consistent with my other pair of Blundstone boots (classic). Overall very comfortable and quality looks good. I've only wear-tested them in my living room and can't wait to wear them out. I ordered both the rustic black and black because I could not decide. Once I received them, I found that the top of the boot of the rustic black was digging into my right shin. Because of that and because the black is more versatile and can be dressed up when wearing with a skirt of dress, I kept the black. Finally, if you think you can just hop in and out of these boots in a hurry, you would be wrong. The high top takes a bit of work to put on and take off, unlike the classic. That is pretty much the nature of high top chelsea boots.

Challenging to get on… once on I noticed the common thing for me in Chelsea boots. Above ankle & top of foot there’s too much room making them look chinsy ill fitting sloppy. Length ok - not much arch support. Put mine in then my heel hit in weird spot ( hot ). Trying the other style

Beautiful boots but too hard to put on. Would have probably been able to break in but having to have someone around to pull them off could be a challenge.

I ordered these for a trip and had they arrived in time I would’ve kept them, they were comfy and the straps made it very easy to pull on. I recommend ordering a slightly larger size especially if you plan on wearing thicker socks with them.

I love the boots. Incredibly well made. The white stitching is perfection BUT I can not get them off without help. As a widow these boots are not for me; I would literally have to ask the neighbor help me take them off.
