These are great slippers. In fact I just bought another pair. I have tried lots of slipper brands and prefer natural fabrics, simple lining, and sturdy rubber soles. The past year I've worn wool Glerups which are more expensive, but I wanted more support and sturdier, longer-lasting house slippers which I wear most of the day. These LL Bean Downeast wool clogs are perfect for me. They're stylish too and fit me well. A bit snug width at first but give them time to stretch a bit. Mine are a comfortable fit now.

I received these as a Christmas gift last year and loved them - except for the squeak. I was learning to live with it, but decided on a whim recently to switch out the inserts with another kind, and to my delight there is no more squeaking! In love again!

Perfect fit, size 9 for my usual shoe size of 9 1/2

I love these. They were just what I needed and have been looking for. The insoles can be removed for orthopedic insoles. They fit true and feel secure on my foot. I purchased the men's - wasn't aware there is the same design for women - might try a women's size for a second pair. Well made, hope they hold up well.

Excellent quality for my European husband. Boiled wool just like Eastern Europe vakenki boots. The rubber sole grips for quick trips outside with the dogs! Perfect farmwear!!

they are great, comfortable. They keep your feet warm cause they are wool.

However, they do run big, and I mean big. I usually wear size 11 and these were way too large . So I had to return them and exchange them for a size 10. Even the tens are a tad large, but I can live with them. And they are a tad wider and I would've liked but still being used mostly as a slipper they will be just fine. I do like the sole which makes convenient and safe for going outside in an emergency. Also being made a wool which is the feature that attracted me the most, they do keep your feet warm.

I have been looking for a pair of shoes since new balance discontinued.A similar pair many years ago. They are excellent highly recommended.

Purchased about 10 days ago. Love wearing them. They weren't in stock over the winter, but I waited. And it was worth the wait. I wanted them for slippers. Now do I buy another pair for outside or get the ones with backs?

Our son very happy with gift, we did need to exchange them for one size smaller than his usual size, but L L Bean makes it very simple, and the pair to fit his feet arrived quickly.

The best house-shoes/slippers I've every worn. So comfortable, so well fitting, the heel stays stiff and stays on your foot so that the shoe is safe around the house or outside. Very stylish, very well made, the boiled wool allows your feet to breath so they stay warm without sweating. And very stylish as a bonus.

These slippers are great! My husband's only complaint is that it does not come in half sizes. He loves the removable insole and having a nice rubber sole that he can wear outside if he has to. They are warm and easy to slip into.

Very comfortable for wearing around the house and even for activities in the yard. Impressed by the quality.

I bought these about 2 months ago and I love them. I'm a woman with a size 11 ( woman ) or 10 (men ). I bought 10 men - a bit roomy so I may put a thin insert into it but I'd rather having something a little large.
