Following the L.L. Bean instruction to order one full size smaller than regular shoe size yielded a perfect fit with warm socks.

These are great boots. I wear them all the time. This is my second pair. They do run large, I normally wear a size 8 and I have to get a size 7 for these, and that's with thick winter socks. They do take a while to wear in and become comfortable, but once they're they are great, just don't put them on out of the box and expect to head out on a super long hike without backup boots or at least bandaids.

These boots are great and LL Beans customer service is great. When I told the sales agent I was replacing my 34 year old boots that had a crack in them he asked it I know about the resoleing. I did but said after that long I thought it was about time to buy a new pair. He suggested getting the old pair resoled as back up. I trust buy products from them because of their quality and this kind of service.

I bought these as my Christmas gift to myself. I sized it one full size below my normal 7 1/2 size to a 6 1/2 and even selected WIDE. The tongue is sewn into the side making it waterproof. At first I couldn't get my foot into the boot. My daughter laughed at me and showed me how to untie the spiral at the end of the lace, releasing the full lace length, which allowed me to pull the tongue up enough to get my foot into the boot. Duh!

I saw a commercial for these shoes that made me want to rush to the store and buy them. I'm so happy I did. They are great for sun, rain, work, and casual. They aren't too hot. The fact they are made in the US is cool. I even was able to pick out an additional shoelace color from the store... they made the shoelace in the store!

Spent the day at a Scout campout that turned into a freezing cold rain/snow muckfest. Not a problem for me! I tromped though snow, slush and ankle deep mud for hours and didnt feel a thing. These boots are champs! I was dry the whole time. My biggest problem was putting muddy boots in the car when we left. Nice problem to have considering the state everyone else feet were in by the end of the day.

I purchased these books for a vacation to Alaska in June, but packed them on a recent trip to Minnesota. The weather was very cold and we were in a snow storm Siri f our stay. The boots were perfect In conjunction with some thick wool socks. The boots were comfortable and great in the elements

Great product. They do run a tad big on sizing, but it allows for thicker socks!

Extremely pleased with the purchase of my Bean Boots! I have had them for a few weeks and I am a happy camper! High quality, comfortable, and definitely meeting all of my expectations.

I bought these a month ago and glad I did. They are comfortable for every day. I read online about boots being smaller or larger than your actual foot size. So I made the trip to shop in store. The salesman was very pleasant and extremely helpful. I ended up getting a half size smaller than I normally do and I had thick socks on at the time. Still had enough room for thicker socks and movement.

My expectations of LL Bean are always met. Once again, I can count on the quality of, therefore the endurance, of the boot I ordered. Thank you LL Bean!

Unreal! Should have bought these years ago. The comfort and looks are beyond fun to wear, not to mention warm and sturdy in the snowy weather. Purchased a 7 too big went to a size 6 wide even though I do not have a wide foot but it worked well with woolen socks. They rock!

I had Bean Boots a long time ago, and in the past 10years have ordered on and off and always returned. They just seemed to be not very supportive and felt hard under the feet and stiff. I decided to try again, and these seem way better. The orthotic is definitely more supportive than prior (although, I still have to put my own in due to hallux limitus), and the boot feels more cushiony. It could be my imagine, but I am very happy I tried again. Such an iconic pair of boots. I just love them for all types of wear and chores!

I had bought these boots a few years ago and returned them. I ordered them again because I saw that the footbed was improved, I could tell immediately when I tried them on. Much more comfortable!

Gorgeous and stunning boots, you can feel the quality. They are a whole size large. I'm an 11 in women's and had to exchange for a 10 and still have room for thick socks. My husband is a men's 11 and I bought the 10 for him automatically and same, room for thick socks. Fits beautifully on us both. Great purchase, well worth the money for a classic that'll last years!

Perfect shoes for rain and snow. Love that they are easy to pull on.

This is my first pair of bean boots and they do not disappoint. After I used leather conditioner on the tops, they were very comfortable. I didn't need to break them in.I can tell with more wear they will become soft. I bought a wide width and they fit perfectly.

I've wanted Bean boots for a while, and finally decided to get a pair. I will note that I first tried an 8" in a size 8M. Going by the sizing questions and description, this was what was recommended. However, I found that it was too small, both in length and width (and the higher top did not play well with my calf size). Normally I wear an 8.5 wide in shoes and hiking boots. I ended up returning that 8" pair and getting a size 9W in a 6", and that was the magic combo. It fits perfectly, giving my toes room to spread and breathe, and the height is perfect. This will be my go-to winter boot for outdoor chores.
