These are different from the other pairs of Hoka's I've previously purchased. The footbed and sole aren't as thick and "squishy," so they aren't as comfortable. The top is also made of a plastic-like material, which would be good for stain-resistance, but it's stiff and not very comfortable.

I’ve never had this problem before but my right pinky toe gets red and it hurts after wearing these shoes for a few hours. They’re also incredibly squeaky. I reached out to Hoka and they said I had to pay for the shoes to be shipped in order to be analyzed. Will never buy another pair of Hokas.

My son has had these shoes for two months and the sole is falling apart! We've bought all sorts of shoes and for the price this has been one of the worst pairs of shoes he's had. Very disappointing, because I have several pairs of Hokas.

Not sure if I got the wrong type, but mines are not comfortable at all. Not worth running in.

I purchased a pair for my 9 year old son. Since I own a couple pairs and am pleased of how comfortable they are. But my son's had fallen apart in less than 2 months. I expected the same quality as mines but not all and I am very disappointed.

Listen! I live by the Hokas that I wear. I own 5 pair of my own so I was excited to see that they make Cliftons in my 8 yr old daughter's size! I bought her a pair for PE at school. First thing I noticed upon receiving them was that the materials for the kids Cliftons are cheap! I
would expect that for the price of these shoes that they would be better. My daughter has worn them twice a week in PE for the past 5 weeks. They are falling apart! the color is coming off the sole. The sole looks like pieces are ripping off the sides and the bottom is loosing the tread. The tread is literally popping off. I contacted customer support and they said it was within the warranty time frame and that I have to send THE ONLY pair of sneakers my daughter has to wear for school back to them and they will process them and send her a new pair (IF they have her size in the colorway that she has). We are now inconvenienced and out of money in having to go buy her another pair of sneakers to wear for the next 3-4 weeks. I sure hope we don't have this quality problem with the replacement pair. (if we get them).

We purchased the Clifton 9 for my son for school. He has been wearing them 3 weeks, and they are falling apart. It's almost as if they are dry rotted. The black part of the tread has detached. The sole is loose, and they are cheaply painted black on the trim, so the paint is chipping. I have pictures, but I am unable to load them here. It's unfortunate for the price, but they are willing to take them back. Unfortunately, they are out of stock now and cannot be replaced. I really don't feel like this is a reflection of the company. I think I just got a bad pair.

I'm very disappointed because I want to start running again. I have hard to fit feet and each time I check the status of my order, I see a shipping label has been printed, but nothing has been sent. The free small insulated cup arrived earlier this week. It has a sharp edge, I would not find it safe for a child to use.

I've been a dedicated customer of Hoka for years. They have become SO much more expensive that I resorted to the kids section. The quality was nowhere near the same as the adult shoes. Felt like cardboard and looked worse. Don't waste your money or time returning these. The website was so slow, the page I needed did not load, and they don't include a return label anymore.

These are some of the cheapest worst shoes I have ever ordered. The soles started falling apart after 3 weeks. Don't order these shoes they are the least durable shoes I have ever encountered. Literally kept having to glue the soles back togethjer

I purchased these shoes for my son for our Disney trip, allowing him to wear them to school one week before to break them in. We averaged about 7 - 10 miles a day, walking, during our 7 day vacation. During the 2 weeks he wore the shoes, they have started to fall apart. The outsole of the shoe has several large missing pieces and the sole and upper look ragged. I love Hoka, and wear them too, never experiencing this poor quality. The children's line seems to be falling short of the quality that I expected from Hoka. These shoes barely lasted 2 weeks. I wish I could add pictures to show how poorly these shoes held up. This is not acceptable. Please, do better, Hoka.

I'm am genuinely so disappointed in these shoes. I bought/choose the children's Hoka because the my foot is more narrow and so I thought the fit would be better than the adult size. However, the shoes have stretched out more than any other sneaker I've ever had. On top of this the base of the shoe is already completely separating from the body. Mind you I've only had these for a month and I only wear them to work (RN) and for short walks. Not to mention they are a dirt magnet! I can't believe how filthy they've gotten after genuinely only a few wears. Don't waste your money.

My son got these shoes this past month. It has not even been a month and the color is already rubbing off as well as the front soles.

This show runs very big and the material is very hard. These are not the same material/fit as the adult Clifton 9s. I was very disappointed that they ran 2 sizes big plus they were rock hard. And, you can't find them anywhere in store. Way too hard to find the right size and color.
