They run a little long, as I'm normally a size 8. I reordered in a 7.5W, and they are perfect.
I'd also recommend:
Anything that comes in a wide width and doesn't look like an old lady.

Not so great arch support . Also, I have worn a size 6, medium width shoe for years and never have a problem with fit unless it is related to materials that the shoe is made of. When I tried these at home, I thought the fit was OK, but when I started to walk in them on the street, I realized I was slipping out of them in the back. They were not that flexible and it was a strain to keep them on correctly.

It was enough too big that it slipped off the back of my foot when I walked. I also disliked the feel of the fabric it is made of.

I ordered a wide, which fit well in the width. I couldn’t keep my heel in the shoe it was like a flip flop. Sizing down it would not have been long enough.
