The outer layer is cotton (denim), the lining is polyester. (I was hoping for all cotton but this turned out to be nice.) I have long arms, but the sleeves fit well - until I washed it. They did shrink a little after being washed and dried, but overall I am still very pleased with this shirt. It's like a light-weight jacket giving the extra warmth on cool days.

Was disappointed that the lining fabric is 100% polyester. I bought one decades ago, which finally wore out, it had a cotton plaid lining that was so cozy and comfortable. This polyester lining snags easily and seems to catch on everything. Sadly, it doesnt have the comfort and breathability of cotton, so I tend to get overheated quickly in it. Love how it fits. Just not happy with the lining.

Super soft and cozy lining. I love the way they are cut at the bottom hem, very flattering. I purchased both colors and sized up to a large in each (5'6" 130 lbs). My only complaint is that the darker one (with red lining) runs smaller than the lighter color (green lining). The red one is slightly shorter and slimmer overall. I would size up 2 sizes in the red for an oversized fit, but, unfortunately, XL is unavailable. Large should be fine if it doesn't go through a hot wash/drier cycle. Lovely, quality made shirts, but size up 1-2 sizes if you have long arms or wide shoulders and want a relaxed fit.

Warm and comfortable. We keep our thermostat at 65 degrees during the day so wearing this shirt inside keeps me warm--yet it's not bulky or heavy.

Love my lined denim shirt for cold winter days. Runs average, Id say.

A well-made shirt but a bit heavy-literally. The collar doesnt sit well and Ive noticed a change in the collar on other shirts Ive ordered.Bring back the old button-down oxford shirts.

Runs small for an over shirt, has no side pockets, good weight, well made

I love the shirt. Just 2 things: I would have liked pockets lower down, and there's a little white label on the outside that shows and it looks like a price tag. Also, it must run very small; I had to exchange it for an extra small. And I usually wear a small.

So warm, soft and comfortable. I bought in a larger size to use shirt as an extra layer on cool days. I love it. Washes up really nice too.

The lining was polyester. I thought it would be cotton flannel. I did not read the material.

Loved by all. I sent this to my daughter in law for her family trip to NC. When the package arrived my son thought it was for him and put it on for the family Christmas picture. I had to point out that the buttons are on the opposite side for women. His wife did take it with her to NC and now the family gets to vote who wore it best thank you LL Bean

True to size. So many online purchases lately have been very off, but this was perfect.

The shirt is comfy. The cuffs are too tight. Wont fit over my Apple Watch. The lining makes the cuffs too bulky if I roll them up.

Layering with cotton shirts, it fits true to size and provides a bit of warmth. Perfect length and I like the lightweight lining. Perfect for light jacket in the spring.

This shirt is exactly what the description says, and excellent quality. I love it except for the buttons. they give my hands a challenge. I am assuming they will become easier with use, at least I hope they do.

This is a very nice shirt and good quality material, but the sleeves are too short by about 2in.

because I am 5'3" 150 lbs and I purchased a large size. The shirt fit perfectly, able to button around my middle without any problem, the overall length of the shirt was great except the the sleeves. The button sleeve fell to the middle of the back of my hand instead of my wrist. If I had purchased a medium the sleeve probably would have been perfect but I would not have been able to button the shirt.

The fit is comfortable, the warmth is just right, and it looks great after it has been washed. I practically live in this shirt now.
